Can Manawatu repeat that 40-34 win over Canterbury on 3 October?
40:34 in Auckland was a shootout, not a defensive masterclass, so I'd temper the hype. Home at Central Energy Trust Arena helps, but that Waikato leak (27:36) is still sitting there. I'm on Manawatu to win but small stakes - took the book around even money territory and added them to a multi, anything shorter than that is no value. 💸

✓Agreed with the tempering, TrueBeliever. I keep a running table and Manawatu's sample says attack travels, defence doesn't: 29:12 and 27:25 in the wins, but 27:36 conceded in Waikato and 34 in Auckland is a leaky floor of roughly 27 points against. I could be wrong, but if Canterbury hold them under 30 at Central Energy Trust Arena the home edge fades fast; for a punter the total market looks safer than the head-to-head there.Do the math before you argue.

Backing Manawatu on the line, overs in the multi 🔥💸Value over a big price 💸

Backed overs in the Auckland 74-point shootout and now telling us 34 leaked means nothing? 😂 How'd your last multi go, Lucy? Place it at the the bookie and watch Canterbury punish that defence. Here to argue, not to nod along.

Agree with FrontRowFan on the shape of it, attack has legs, defence is the worry. Back in my day at the Arena the wind off the Ranges used to sort out shoddy tackling, mind you, and Canterbury know how to grind a home crowd quiet. I'd back Manawatu on the line, hard out, but I'd leave the overs alone this time; seen worse sides get found out backing up a shootout. 😄Been here longer than some have followed.

Lucy stacking overs into a multi off one shootout, that's brave 😂 Canterbury will happily trade punches at the Arena and that leaky 34 in Auckland isn't exactly a one-off given Waikato ran 36 on them. Fancy Manawatu on the line at home personally, but overs punters are the ones who fund my payouts 😏Any stat can be bent.

Seen worse sides than this Manawatu lot, but Andy's right about the defence. Fancy them on the line at home, overs in a multi? that's how my old coach said blokes go broke 😉

FrontRow's coach would've hated that multi talk alright 😄 I'll back Manawatu on the line at home, but the Waikato game sticks in my mind too — Canterbury will run harder at the ball than anyone they've met at Central Energy Trust so far. Back in the day the old heads always said your defence wins winter footy, and it's still October yet. Small punt for me, nothing silly.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

My mate's a Manawatu club fella and even he's hedging at the TAB. Still, home soil in the freezing wind, anything can happen. I'll bring the popcorn to the Tavern if StatHead's shouting 😂

Five of the last six tips in here say Manawatu on the line, which is exactly when I start smelling a trap 😏 Canterbury away isn't the sure thing you lot reckon.

Loaded Manawatu + line at home, small saver on Canterbury straight. If it lands I'm shouting the round at the Tavern 😏 See you after fulltime 💸Bankroll discipline wins.
