Three wins from four and Auckland put away 40-34
FINALLY we get Canterbury at the Arena 🔥 That they stuck 40 past Auckland up there has me buzzing tbh - defense leaked plenty though ah well, nowt to do. I'll be in the stands on 3 October loud as ever 💪 interested as anyone whether this a proper run or luck ran out. what a result either way 🙌

✓Was in Palmy once for a rep game and the crowd noise off that small stand was unreal, so imagine 3 October with Canterbury in town 🔥 40 past Auckland was no fluke lads, our lot never make it easy but they earned that. Red-and-blacks coming to bleed, GET IN 💪🙌One love, one side ❤️

That 40-34 in Auckland had my multi hanging by a thread till the last ten, and it landed but I paid for the sweats 😭 Canterbury will be favourite and rightly so, but if the TAB has them at anything under 6 points I'd be having a sneaky look at Manawatu with the start at home. Defence leaking 34 says the overs might be the real value play here.Bankroll discipline wins.

I've already warned the missus 3 October is a firm appointment, she can watch the Bledisloe replay 😂 Canterbury in town plus that 40-34 still ringing round my head, gonna be a fun night at the Arena. StatHead's sneaky punt talk has me eyeing up the TAB already, hold my pint 🍿🤣

Nah mate, you don't stick 40 on Auckland up there by accident 😤 They got hammered by Waikato the week before, fair, but fronted up six days later and went toe to toe with a bigger pack and still won. That's character, not luck. My worry is the other end, 34 points leaked is Canterbury drooling already. If we can't tighten that midfield they'll punish every miss. But home at the Arena with the crowd up, I've seen rep sides get lifted there and forget how to lose. Heart says it all, back em all day 💪 Can't wait ah well, nowt to do.You don't abandon your own.

Hannah88, careful with that flame emoji, the old heart can only take so much 😄 back in the day I watched Turbos sides get everyone excited off one good away win and then get brought back to earth by a Canterbury mob that just knew how to travel. 34 points conceded up in Auckland tells you plenty, character, yes, they kept answering, and that's worth something. but character and defence are different animals, and Canterbury have been picking apart leaky edges since before some of you lot were born. I'd love to be wrong. watch as long as I have and you'll get it though, expectations are a cruel thing. if the Arena crowd drags them over the line on 3 October, first round's on me. seen worse bets at the TAB, that's for sure 😉Been here longer than some have followed.
