Sorry Rob, I'm with the sceptics on the 50 NZ$ pub bet, purely because a time machine settles nothing and pub bets thrive on that. I could be wrong, but eight from eight this season against derbies that weren't gimmes is the harder sample to argue against, and I'd take the table over a highlight reel every time. What gives me pause on calling them the greatest ever is sample size: we're eight rounds in, while Razor's 2019 side had a full campaign plus finals rugby behind it. Nuance matters here. Compare them after the playoffs, not now. Until then, this lot have earned the benefit of the doubt, and I'd rather back the current form on the TAB line than nostalgia any day. 📊Do the math before you argue.

Had a season pass at Lancaster Park when the amateur days were ending, and I'll tell you what, every generation reckons their mob is the one, and every generation's half right. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it: eight from eight is eight from eight, and that 2019 lot wouldn't walk back through a time machine any easier than anyone else.
