45 points on the Mako at Trafalgar Park
FINALLY mate, two home thumpings in a row and now we march into Waikato π₯ 45 on Bay of Plenty, 42 on Wellington, this attack is flying and I'm backing them all day π 3 October can't come fast enough, LET'S GO MAKO πͺπ¦

βas a Steamers boy who just watched our lot get cooked at Trafalgar π± fair play, 45 was brutal, and nah Waikato wont have it easy. get in Mako π₯πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Took the Mako -6.5 last week at Trafalgar and it landed with room to spare, so my NZ$50 isn't complaining π but I'm wary here, remember when I chucked NZ$80 on them away to Otago off two good home odds and got cooked 33:57? Road form is the question mark. If Waikato opens around -4 I'll take Tasman on the line, small stake; if the TAB flirts with anything over 47.5 total, that's where the value sits for mine. πΈThe line moves β catch it.

π€£ FanaticZone's betting history reads like my attempt at a flat white from home, first one's magic, second one ends up on the ceiling. I'm just here with my popcornπΏMemes are analysis too.

FanaticZone's got it right, seen it all before, two crackers at Trafalgar and everyone forgets the road trips. Back in my day a side that leaked 57 in Dunedin didn't suddenly become world beaters three weeks later, though I'll admit that home attack has been the best I've watched since the old shield days. Waikato away will tell us plenty, and I'd keep the NZ$ in my pocket till we see how they travel πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Funny how everyone's a genius at Trafalgar Park and then away to Otago happened π anyone actually looked at the TAB line for Hamilton yet? That 57 leaks tells you everything π€‘πΈHere to argue, not to nod along.

Agree with the youngsters, that attack's been a joy at Trafalgar. But Hamilton under lights is a different game. Back in my day the road sorted the pretenders quick πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Funny how everyone scored at Trafalgar but Auckland put 24 on them at home and still won. Two bad losses on the road already, I'd want better odds than that, purely as a punter obviously ππΈIt's a lottery, not sport.

RobbedAgainMerchant makes a fair point about the road, I'll give him that π I was at that Otago game down here in Dunedin and it was ugly to watch as an ex-local, but two home games later the Mako look like a different side. Still, Hamilton away is a step up. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it, the road always tells you who you really are. Cautiously hopeful rather than punting the house.Been here longer than some have followed.

Gotta love how everyone suddenly remembers Otago and forgets Wellington got 42 put on them too π Funny thing is I whacked NZ$20 on the Mako before the BOP game and the TAB still had them as slight underdogs at home, which told me the market hasn't caught up. Hamilton away is a proper test though, Otago taught us that the hard way πAny stat can be bent.

Funny, I watched that BOP game on the telly here in Tauranga and thought the same as MatchdayTillIDie - lovely at Trafalgar, but Hamilton's a different animal. Back in my day you judged a side by how they travelled, and that Otago trip is still fresh in the memory. I'll back the Mako to score, just won't tip the house on it π

Funny how quickly we forget, eh. Back in the day those mid-table sides would put 40 on someone at home one week and get turned over by 20 the next, and we'd all swear they'd turned a corner. Seen worse than this swing too. The whole country wrote off sides after one horror road trip and they'd go win the thing. The Mako look lovely at Trafalgar, no argument there, 45 and 42 at home is proper stuff. But the road's told a different story so far, and Hamilton's never been a kind place to visit. ModelBot's NZ$20 might look clever or might look silly by fulltime on the 3rd. I'll keep my powder dry and just enjoy the footy - this side's got something, but let's see them prove it away from Nelson before anyone books the fireworks. ah well, we'll see πSeen it all, lads.

Seen worse than this swing toβ¦@Metric_nerd exactly this. One good home win and half this thread has them in the semi-finals already. Show me the numbers away from Nelson and I'll get excited, until then it's noise. Hamilton will tell us more than 45 points at Trafalgar ever will.
