Why are Tasman so unpredictable at Trafalgar Park against Waikato?
FINALLY we get a proper test lads!! 🔥 Two weeks ago Trafalgar was rocking, 45 past Bay of Plenty had the whole place up. Now Hamilton away, Saturday arvo, if these boys front up down there I'll believe, if we get another Dunedin no-show I'll sulk for a week 😤 who's actually making the trip?? 🙌

✓Hamilton crowd gonna remind them of Dunedin more than the players realise 😱 anyone remember that away trip a few years back when we shipped 50 and never got out of second gear, whole bus home in silence ah well, nowt to do. If we turn up like the Wellington game, Waikato fans will be the ones sulking 🔥💪You don't abandon your own.

That Dunedin scoreline should've cost me less than it did 😭 I put $40 on Tasman +6.5 away and watched it die by halftime, never got near it. So believe me when I say I'm not touching them on the road until they show me something. Hamilton's a different beast to Dunedin crowd-wise but the pattern's the same. This mob at Trafalgar are a $10 side, on the ferry they're park mob. Beat Wellington and Bay of Plenty by 17+ at home, then lose by 24 to Otago and get pipped at home by Auckland a week later. Form swings like my taxi meter on a Friday night. If the TAB opens Waikato around -8 to -10 I'd want the home side anyway; if it sits closer to -4 I'd consider Tasman +4 purely because two of their three losses were by single digits or in that late-panic zone. The value's nowhere near the head-to-head. If I load up on anything it's a small Tasman win on first try scorer type plays, nothing serious. Sam, I'd save the bus money and watch it at the pub, personally 🍺Bankroll discipline wins.

🤣 honestly I reckon this team flips a coin in the shed before kick-off. Heads we're the 45-26 Tasman, tails we're the lot that got folded like a deck chair in Dunedin 🍿 Sam I'll believe it when the boys get off the bus in Hamilton looking awake 😂Hold my pint.

nah but here's my take, the Dunedin game was a shambles sure, but the two home wins weren't just Trafalgar magic eh. 45-26 against Bay of Plenty, we actually looked like a TEAM, set piece firing, boys running hard lines. that wasn't the crowd doing it 🙌 the real worry for me is that Auckland loss at home, 24-22, pipped at our own park 😤 if we'd held that one we'd be talking totally different. Waikato away? they'll smash into us for 20 mins, simple as that. if we weather it and the boys stay switched on we win this. if we switch off like Dunners... 50 plus again, you just know 💪 backing them all day though, going up with the lads 🔥You don't abandon your own.

Wait, so which version turns up in Hamilton then? Everyone's arguing home form proves something but we lost to Auckland at Trafalgar too 😅 still learning this away-form stuff, cheers for the chat though 🏉Daft questions are my specialty.

Gramps is right, we lost to Auckland at HOME too 😅 you just know which version shows up depends on who front early. Ah well, nowt to do 🏉

the young lot never saw what a proper away trip used to mean down here, eh. back in my day you could pick a season by how a side got off the bus in Hamilton - and Dunedin already told us plenty about this mob. expect the 45-26 Tasman and you'll likely cop the 33-57 one; that Auckland game at Trafalgar proved home soil fools nobody either. i'll just wait and see which boys front on the 3rd 😄Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
