Right, lads, time we finally sign a proper No. 8
Word is there's a ball-carrying No. 8 off contract who wouldn't mind a fresh start over here, and a certain someone at the club has been asking around about him 🤡splashing NZ$400k seems steep till you watch our scrum fold like a deck chair in the last twenty. Might just be pub talk, but if there's smoke, pay the man 😏

✓A mysterious off-contract No. 8, and a "certain someone" who definitely asked around - receipts please. Name the player or I'll file this next to the lock we were signing in March. If he actually shunts packs around for 80 minutes, NZ$400k starts to look cheap, but until then I'm not convinced.Hype isn't an argument.

I'll believe the name when I see it tbh 😅 but mate, watch our last twenty again and tell me we don't need a proper ball-carrying 8... scrum going backwards every time, no gainline punch, nothing 🔥 NZ$400k? pay it, that's the missing piece and we all know it 💪You don't abandon your own.

Kev's right to ask for a name, Andy, plenty of blokes "ask around" and end up nowhere. I could be wrong, but a 400k No. 8 only makes sense if he's the right age bracket, say 25-29, and carries hard in the derby scrums where we've been shunted about late. Without a name, treat it as smoke until receipts turn up 📊Do the math before you argue.

Seen the last twenty of our last few derbies and honestly the scrum looks like it's being winched backwards 🤡 Kev wanting receipts is fair, but FrontRowFan's got it, 400k on a 25-29 ball-carrying 8 is cheap if he actually earns his ruck money. I'd put a multi on him turning up before I'd put one on us fixing it from the roster we've got 😏It's a lottery, not sport.

Ha, names before the ink's dry, back in the day we were "nearly signing" a big No. 8 or two, and old hands will remember how those chats quietly died come pre-season. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it: rumours like this go cold more often than they warm. Time will tell, lads 😉Seen it all, trust me.

Ha, names before the ink's dry, back in the day we were "nearly signing" a big No. 8 or two, and old hands will remember how those chats quietly died come pre-season. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it: rumours li…I always figured the transfer rumour mill was the real market mover, not just the club press room. While you might be right about some chats dying pre-season, when something like this starts gaining traction, it ripples through the books and the TAB lines way faster than anyone expects. If there’s any chance a quality ball-carrying No. 8 gets attached to the Western Force, that's huge news for the market. The moment those whispers turn into serious talk, the odd for the derby could shift significantly, which is always where the value lies. Would it have landed, or would the line have moved a bit before the ink actually dried? Seems worth keeping a close eye on regardless of the official announcement. 🔥Bankroll discipline wins.
