Ten years on and I still get goosebumps thinking about that night we
i remember watching that one from the couch, thought i'd give the young fellas no chance against the Crusaders of all teams. back in my day you didn't beat them at all, let alone at home in front of a sea of blue roaring like that. still get a bit of a shiver thinking of the noise coming through the telly 😄
ten years gone already, hard to believe. funny how those nights stick with you more than half the title wins other mobs carry on about. seen worse sides get forgotten quicker, that's for sure. thanks for dragging this one up, mate, made my arvo 😉

✓That night... the feeling when they scored was unreal. Just absolute chaos out there, the crowd went mental! 🙌🔥Heart with the team, head on pause.

what a night that was eh. i'd flown over for a mate's do and tagged along to the game more out of curiosity than anything, ended up right in the middle of that sea of blue. when the crowd realised it was actually going to happen the fella next to me near crushed my ribs in a hug, and i wasn't even complaining 😄 you hear crowds roar all the time, but that one had something extra in it. ten years on i can still feel it. the young fellas on here won't quite get what it meant to knock those blokes over back then. they were the yardstick everyone measured themselves by, and usually you came up short. that night we didn't. still reckon it's the best few hundred nz$ i've ever spent on a ticket 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Funny how memory works eh, that side felt ten metres taller than the current squad on the big nights. In truth the young fellas now probably have more raw talent through the spine, but they haven't learned how to close out a game against a heavyweight like that night crowd did. Different beasts really. I'd back a few of these kids to grow into it though, just needs a couple of those brutal home wins to click. One night like NIB and they'll carry it for a decade too.Do the math before you argue.

TaurangaBro, I'll push back a bit there. "Ten metres taller" is the nostalgia talking, mate. That night the Crusaders came to NIB half their big names were resting or carrying niggles, and we caught them on a Friday after a long flight over. I was up in the eastern stand that evening and even then I remember thinking they looked flat in the warmup. The crowd deserved its share of the credit too. Any punter at the TAB that arvo had us at long odds, and the roar when we scored lifted the lads for the last twenty. Raw talent through the spine now, sure, but sample size of one famous night isn't a fair yardstick. Ask any ABs fan about Eden Park and they'll tell you atmosphere only carries you so far.Numbers > vibes.

The sound off the walls in NIB was just absolutely insane. It wasn't just the noise tho it was that electric feeling when our guys seized every bit of that pressure. Those young fellas took advantage of the fact the Crusaders were fried from the whole trip and just smashed them for it. 🤯🔥🙌Heart with the team, head on pause.

Was it just me or did the entire city feel that roar? Felt like winning a free beer at the PX after a rough shift. 🤣😂Memes are analysis too.
