Suncorp fortress night - who's bringing the Maroons-level noise for
Evening lads, how are we all feeling? π₯ Just got back from juniors training, ran the scrum drill with the young fellas and all I could think about was our front row at Suncorp, absolute units, they'll roll them back a good five metres easy πͺ
Big plan forming for fortress night: my brother's flying over, we're doing beers on Caxton Street before, then upper deck behind the posts where the noise lands hardest. Gonna need the whole red seat block going Maroons-level for 80 minutes, our lot never make it easy but gee they make it loud π Who's in? GET IN! π΄

βWatching the young fellas run scrum drills takes me back, Millie, I did the same with my boy's team years back and spent the whole session daydreaming about Test nights π Front row this season has been something special though. Back in my day you'd get a good shove maybe once or twice a night and the crowd would carry on like it was a grand final. Now they're marching blokes backwards every week and Suncorp's waking up for it. Reminds me of the old Ballymore days when the forwards decided the mood of the whole ground before the backs even touched the ball. If we bring even half the noise Saturday that the boys brought last derby, the visitors will be feeling it by the twentieth minute, mark me. Counting down the days over here in Gisborne πRemember when the grass was greener π±

JohnBlues reckon yourself π I'd back our boys' legs against yours any day mate. Front row's been monsters all season, Suncorp night is gonna be rocking when they pack down πͺπ₯ ah well, nowt to do but get the tix sorted and bring the Maroons-level noise πYou don't abandon your own.

Millie coaching juniors and daydreaming mid-drill, that's the spirit tbh π I still remember when our scrum demolished the opposition on my last club season, opposition prop literally couldn't get up π Front row deserves a shout-out, absolute colour of the pack, gonna be deafening at Suncorp π₯π₯ ah well, nowt to do but bring the noise πYou don't abandon your own.

Roll em back five metres? Millie you've been at the juniors' orange slices again π Front row's class though, I'll give you that much πΏ

John's just jealous he's never packed down against a real front row π five metres is unders, I've seen it live. Get in! π₯πͺYou don't abandon your own.

I've seen Millie's five metres, in his head at juniors training π Let the boys prove it first, then the front row gets their curtain call πΏπ€£Hold my pint.

Ha Millie's drills are contagious apparently π I back the five metres though, watched the young fellas here in Christchurch fold a front row in half last season and that sound of bodies hitting the deck is unbeatable π₯ If our pack fires like that Suncorp's gonna shake, get in! πͺπ₯On the terraces since I was a kid.

Watching you blokes measure in metres from the couch is my favourite off-season sport π five metres a scrum and Suncorp will need a new roof, calm down legends. I'll believe it when the front row's got someone actually pushing back, hold my pint if it happens though πΏπ€£Memes are analysis too.

UltraLife, mate, you'll be holding that pint a fair while if you wait for proof of five metres π but i love that this thread has turned into the front row appreciation society. back in the day we used to judge a pack by the sound the grandstand made when the hit came. No metrics needed, just knew. millie running scrum drills with the young fellas and dreaming of suncorp, that's the right spirit. my old man reckoned the tight five won you games and everyone else just came along for the ride, and he wasn't wrong often. put a cheeky TAB multi on the boys up front getting a few penalties too, so i've got skin in the game now π whatever happens, be good to hear that place shaking again like the old nights. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

I've seen Millie's five metres, in his head at juniors training π Let the boys prove it first, then the front row gets their curtain call πΏπ€£The odds on the set metres don't care if they did it in training or on the field. Just look at the line movement for the Red pack this game. πΈπ₯Up one week, down the next. Classic.
