Are the Mooloos actually good, or did Manawatu just flatter us?
FINALLY we get a proper hitout down in Wellington π₯ question is which Mooloos side rocks up tbh, the one that torched Manawatu 36:27 or the mob that got pumped by Northland?? Either way I'll be yelling at the telly on the 27th ππͺ

βMate that Northland game still gives me nightmares π± Canterbury at home too, ffs. But if the Manawatu mob shows up in Wellington, look out π₯ ah well, nowt to do but watchYou don't abandon your own.

Nightmare fuel that Northland game, but from a punter's view the Manawatu win tells me Waikato at home and Waikato away are two different teams. If the TAB opens them anywhere near level in Wellington I'd take the odds on Wellington. That 36:27 flattered us a bit. Tasman at FMG on the 3rd is where I'd actually put my $20; home side after a fortnight on the road usually lands.Bankroll discipline wins.

Honestly we're SchrΓΆdinger's footy team right now π€£ won't know if the Mooloos are mint or cooked until someone opens the box on the 27th πHold my pint.

Ha, SchrΓΆdinger's footy team about sums us up π I'll give StatHead this much, home and away Mooloos being two different animals rings true, seen worse splits over the years. My caveat though: back in my day a Thursday run at training told you more than any form line, so I'd wait till we see who fronts in Wellington before writing the boys off. Still driving through Hamilton on the 3rd thinking I might sneak into the Tasman game if the boss lets me off early πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Funny how every Waikato punter suddenly rates the Mooloos off one sunny afternoon against Manawatu π two hidings either side of it, and StatHead's already calling the away side flattered. I'd happily put a lazy NZ$20 on Wellington if that line's anywhere near level too, but let's see which pack actually wants it on the 27th. Remind me of your ROI again? π€‘πΈAny stat can be bent.

Seen it all before, this home/away split, back in my day we'd call it a mob that only turns up when the crowd feeds them. I'll agree with OldSchoolEst66 that StatHead's onto something, mind you; the Manawatu afternoon felt better than the footy actually was. Young ones get excited off one win, and then Northland happens π Wellington away will tell us plenty.Seen it all, lads.

Ultra88 hit it, the Manawatu game looked silkier than it played. Two weeks of getting touched up at home to Canterbury and then again up north, and suddenly one decent arvo at FMG Stadium fixes everything? I'd want to see the Mooloos actually front in Wellington on the 27th before anyone talks me into a multi π€‘</arg_value>It's a lottery, not sport.

Ultra88's right, that Manawatu arvo felt rosier than the footy deserved. Back in the day we called it flat-track stuff, Wellington away will tell us plenty.Been here longer than some have followed.

Mate I've got NZ$20 with the TAB saying the Manawatu win was a mirage, and UncleAllDay's screaming on the telly won't change the 22 points we leaked against Northland π Wellington away on the 27th? I'd rather put my money on the Wallabies keeping the Bledisloe than this lot backing up two good weeks, mate πΈ

seen this movie before, fellas. every season some province strings together one pretty afternoon at home and half the town starts talking about the semifinals, then they get off the plane somewhere cold and wet and forget how to catch a ball. the manawatu game was pleasant enough but those two weeks before it, canterbury running through us like we weren't there, northland doing the same up north, that's the side i'd been watching all winter. Fullback_Faithful, i wouldn't take your NZ$20 off you, mind; a punter who backs the warm fuzzy feeling usually pays for his lesson twice π Wellington away on the 27th will tell us more about this mob than any afternoon at FMG ever will. expectation is a cruel mistress, as my old coach used to say. tasman at home on the 3rd after that? could go either way, and probably will. seen worse, mind you, just haven't seen much better lately either πSeen it all, trust me.
