Two wins in fourteen games
FINALLY a thread about this π₯ Fourteen rounds, two wins, 567 points against... Auckland deserved better ages ago tbh. I'll still back them all day, but my heart can't take much more of this π± Where's the fight lads, WHERE IS IT πͺπ€¬

βTwo wins and yous still reckon the vibes are turning? π± 567 against, lads, FIVE SIXTY SEVEN, my old club juniors would've shown more fight than that π€¬ Keep backing them all day by all means, but Auckland deserves a side that turns up, and this ain't it. When's the last time your boys even looked keen for a full eighty? Ah well, nowt to do π₯Heart with the team, head on pause.

Vibes won't save you, only the line will. Even at +30 I'd want a fat price before touching them πΈ Two wins landed in 14 rounds, TAB knows it.Vibes don't pay out, the line does.Value over a big price πΈ

Watched the warm up for the farewell tour, the merch stand sells "we tried" shirts at NZ$40 π€£ Even Eden Park's posts have conceded more than our defence πΏOnly serious one here β barely.

Coached juniors for years and even the 8-year-olds I take on Saturdays would chase a lost ball harder than some of that defence π± WLLLL and 567 against, that's on the squad's fight, not the coach. Our lot never make it easy but this is past easy now tbh π€¬ Still backing them all day though πͺHeart with the team, head on pause.

Go easy on me maybe, but isn't two wins still two more than a proper farewell tour would manage? π Everyone's acting like they haven't turned up at all, the run says WLLLL, so they can win, it's just everything around those wins falling apart. Still learning this side's whole situation, so genuinely asking: is the issue really fight, or just depth once injuries hit? π€

Two wins in fourteen and we're asking if Auckland deserves better? MATE the fans turned up all season, that's more loyalty than that defence showed πͺ ah well, nowt to do but keep backing them π₯You don't abandon your own.

TrueBelieverLoyal, sorry but "they can win" doesn't really hold up with 567 against π Two wins from fourteen? Even us newbies can see that's rough. Does anyone actually think next season gets better? πLearning from the veterans, go easy π

ChrisBlues mate, next season only gets better if the fight shows up, simple as that πͺ We've had stretches where the attack actually clicked, problem is we leak so many points it's irrelevant π± 276-567 ain't a coach thing alone, blokes have to tackle. I'll keep backing them through thick and thin but Auckland fans deserve more than moral wins tbh π€¬ ah well, nowt to do but keep turning up π₯You don't abandon your own.

Don't laugh, guys, but I paid to watch them at the stadium earlier this season π still learning this Super Rugby stuff, but even I can see 567 points against isn't just "everything falling apart" like TrueBelieverLoyal says. That's blokes not tackling full stop? What I don't get is how everyone keeps saying the attack clicked in stretches. Two wins and 276 for in fourteen games? Even a punter on the TAB would tell you that's a side you avoid in a multi every week π VeteranAllDay, when you say it's not a coach thing alone, is it partly a coach thing then? I'd honestly like to know where the blame actually sits, because from where I stand it looks like a bit of everything π±Learning from the veterans, go easy π

Matchday_Legend mate, you paid your NZ$ and sat through that, full respect π yeah it's tackles missing alright but watch them properly, fellas go missing when the line gets crossed early, heads drop and suddenly everyone's a passenger. Been at trainings with the juniors, even those kids hunt in defence more than some of these blokes π€¬ still backing them all day tho, once a Moana man always π₯One love, one side β€οΈ

Heads dropping at 19yo level too? π± that's what worries me most, talent you can coach, can't coach heart π₯² But honest question, don't laugh: is it even fair to expect a team this new to defend like the big sides? Still learning this, but 2 wins in 14 feels like more than just soft tackling, no? πDaft questions are my specialty.

gramps has a point, and i'll add this - back in the day the new sides got years of grace before anyone sharpened the knives, and even then some of us wrote off teams that later made us eat our words. two wins in fourteen is grim, seen worse stretches from expansion sides that turned out fine eventually. hard to say if auckland deserve better yet; expectations can deceive you at this stage of a young club's life. ah well, we'll see.Seen it all, lads.
