Two straight losses and now Taranaki roll into McLean Park
TWO losses in a row and my blood's already boiling π€ but hey, McLean Park under lights on the 27th, Taranaki coming to OUR house, the last home game we put 35 on Otago!! That's the bounce-back right there, no doubt in my mind π₯π€π backing the Magpies all day, Napier better turn up LOUD π£

βAny Taranaki fan reading this, enjoy the drive over while it lasts π cos McLean Park on the 27th under lights is OURS, we put 35 on Otago last time we were home and two rough ones away won't change that π₯π€π you just know the boys are gonna come out firing, Napier better get loud, GET IN MAGPIES πͺ

Burnt the last two weekends but home under lights I'm back on the Magpies, line under a converted try is value πΈBankroll discipline wins.

Napier in September: half the crowd in jandals and stubbies, other half holding hot chips like sacred relics π€£ if the Magpies don't turn up, at least my nachos won't betray me twice. Keen for it πMemes are analysis too.

They put 35 on Otago but got beaten by 7 at home to Harbour a week later though? That confidence seems a bit cheeky π what makes the 27th any different, guys?Learn something new every day.

What's different? Last home game we hung 35 on Otago, mate π€ under lights at McLean Park we just don't miss twice π€πOne love, one side β€οΈ

Hmm, "don't miss twice" is a bit of a leap though isn't it π Otago was weeks back and we've dropped two since, so what actually changes on the 27th besides the lights? Genuinely asking. Is it just home crowd vibes or have you heard anything about the side getting tweaked? Still learning this, keen to understand πLearning from the veterans, go easy π

Seen a fair few of these bounce-back nights at McLean Park over the years, and I'll tell you what they taught me: the last good performance is always the worst guide. Back in my day the old heads used to say the pitch forgets your last game quicker than the crowd does - and they were right more often than not. What changes on the 27th? Honestly, nobody outside the changing room knows. Taranaki travel well and they'll fancy the Magpies are wobbling, so the lights only count for so much. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it. Form is a rumour, home pride is just a hope, and September footie in Napier can go either way. I've seen worse sides than this one drag themselves off the canvas, and I've seen better ones lie down. So who knows π I'll be watching anyway.Been here longer than some have followed.
