FINALLY a proper trip to look forward to πŸ”₯ 45 on Bay of Plenty at Trafalgar Park, that second half was pure juice πŸ™Œ only worry is what showed up in Dunedin... if that lot gets on the bus to Hamilton instead we're in for a long arvo 😱 but count me in for 3 October, heart says it all, MAKOS πŸ’ͺ

Josh mate that Dunedin score still gives me nightmares 🀬 but 45 on BOP? I was at Trafalgar, best arvo in ages πŸ”₯ Makos by a try, hard out πŸ’ͺ

  • Home they beat BOP by 19, away they got spanked in Dunedin. TAB's got Waikato favoured and I'm not touching the Makos head-to-head. The value's in the + line, small punt only πŸ’Έ

  • This team's like my fridge at home, either fully stocked or you're eating sauce on bread 🀣 Someone zip-tie the good Makos to the bus seat for Hamilton 🍿
Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿

  • Home Trafalgar Makos and away Makos are basically two different clubs, Matchday_88's line is doing all the thinking for him 😏 Fridge joke's the most accurate analysis in the thread tbf 🀑
    Any stat can be bent.

  • The fridge joke had me laughing out loud in the cab, not going to lie πŸ˜„ SeenItAllFaithful, agree with you the BOP game was a beaut - but I'd temper the Makos-by-a-try confidence. That Auckland loss at Trafalgar, 22:24 at home mind you, tells me even the good version of this side can be got at. Back in my day we'd judge a team on the road, not on the comfy home afternoons, and Dunedin was ugly, no two ways about it. If they turn up in Hamilton with that same loose defensive shape Waikato will make them pay worse than Otago did. I'll watch with a brew and low expectations, anything better is a bonus. Old school wisdom for the young ones: never back a team on the road off one home win. πŸ˜‰
Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

  • Took my nephew to the BOP game and even he called the second half "cheat mode", but here's the thing that's stuck in my craw: Auckland got it done at Trafalgar a week before with 24 points, so the good Makos aren't bulletproof even at home. Hamilton away after a 57-point hiding in Dunedin? I'd want to see the team list before touching anything, whatever line Matchday_88 is circling 😏

  • i was at that otago game, 57 points against and cold pies, seen worse though πŸ˜„ back in my day the makos side that rocks up in hamilton is whoever turns up on the day, i'll believe it when i see it.
Been here longer than some have followed.
