Counties Manukau host Hawke's Bay at Navigation Homes Stadium
FINALLY we got a home fixture worth circling π₯ That scrap up north had me chewing my nails, 22:19, pure grit πͺ Now bring Hawke's Bay to Navigation Homes and let's pack the place out, Pukekohe! Who's in? π

βThat Northland win had 22:19 written all over our lot never make it easy π But otago schooled us 50-21 at home just before, so calm down eh... Hawke's Bay fans booking travel already? You just know Pukekohe gonna roar on the 3rd π€¬π₯ ah well, nowt to do but turn up πͺ

Took the 22:19 scrape as a win by the skin of my teeth on the multi, so I'm off that high a bit π Last home game they conceded 50 to Otago, which stings, but the Northland grit suggests they've got some fight. Hawke's Bay away trip's short for us, straight down the road for me, taking a few mates. Crowd noise alone could make it a proper contest, not a procession.Bankroll discipline wins.

Chur_Kiwi got it right, that defence keeps you guessing eh. Seen worse Pukekohe sides roar back though. I'll be there on the 3rd, old habits πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

Beat the TAB line all season and I'd still get burned backing this defence π two weeks after a 50-point home leak they grind out 22:19? Sure thing, mate. Fence it is π€‘πΈ

Back in my day we'd have called that Northland scrap a proper Test-night scrap, minus the jerseys π oldschool, you and I will be in the same stand by the look of it, I'll be the one grumbling about the defence while cheering anyway. Chloe's got a point though, that 50 leaked to my beloved Otago still stings, so I'm keeping my voice warm and my expectations low.Been here longer than some have followed.

Fair crack, Chloe forgot they held Otago to 21 at Pukekohe and got picked apart anyway π Nothing about that defence says "trust me with my NZ$" to this punter. I'll still be there on the 3rd, just shouting instructions from the fence instead of putting coin on it π€‘It's a lottery, not sport.

amy's got a fair point there, defence has kept us guessing all season. but back in the day pukekohe crowds could lift a side ten points on their own. i'll be in the stand on the 3rd πSeen it all, trust me.

Did Amy watch a different game? Otago hung 50 on us, the 21 was ours π hope that fence is sturdier than her maths π
-
Amy's maths aside, Rob's got the right of it, we scored the 21 against Otago, copped 50 π that Southland game showed what this side can do when the forwards get stuck in, 47 points don't fall out of the sky. I'll be there on the 3rd, same spot I've had since my boys were nippers, and fair warning to Hawke's Bay: a full Navigation Homes on a spring Saturday arvo is worth a try or two to the home side, seen it happen plenty of times.Seen it all, lads.

Geez, that Otago night still stings more than the Auckland one, if you ask me. Funny game though - I've seen this mob get thumped one week and scrape out a nail-biter the next, so I've given up predicting where they'll land. Southland showed the ceiling, Otago the floor, and the 3rd could be either. Count me in the stand anyway πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.
