βWellington fans booking their tix already? brave souls π Taranaki just put 55 on Southland, Auckland went home quiet too, only wobble was that one-point heartbreak up in Palmy... October 4 at Stadium Taranaki is gonna be LOUD π₯ backing them all day πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

That 55:19 had me checking the TAB first thing Monday, honestly π expect Taranaki to start somewhere around -6 to -8 for Wellington and I'd be tempted either way, that line feels a tick short after what they did to Auckland too. Only real question mark is the Hawke's Bay trip before it, one-point loss in Palmy shows they can switch off. I'll wait and see if the line moves past 7 before I load anything πΈBankroll discipline wins.

Southland still waking up in cold sweats seeing 55 on the scoreboard π€£ Wellington bringing their away form to New Plymouth like a chuppa to a thunderstorm lol πΏHold my pint.

Took 55 off Southland then lost to Manawatu by a point the week before. That's rugby for you π Still, TAB line's mine on October 4, TouchlineLoyal πΈπAny stat can be bent.

That Manawatu game shows how quickly the wheels can come off, eh, one week you're losing by a point in Palmy, next week you're putting 55 on Southland. Back in my day we called that "any given Saturday" and it hasn't changed a bit π TouchlineLoyal, I'd back your read on the line, only caveat being Wellington will have had a good look at that Taranaki attack by now. Old fella wisdom: teams that smash someone one week tend to get checked properly the next. Still, if I can get the old girl to watch the grandkids that afternoon, I'll be at Stadium Taranaki with the rest of them. October 4, yellow and black, done deal πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Odd part is the 55 came a week after Palmy, same side supposedly. Which Taranaki turns up October 4? Got my NZ$ on that line already πShow me your ROI first π

FixIsInBeliever680 has it right, back in my day rugby humbled you the week after your best win, so I'll keep the fireworks quiet till October 4. Keen to be at Stadium Taranaki though πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Which Taranaki turns up is the whole lottery, eh, Auckland got beaten properly at home, then Palmy happened π I'll believe the hype when Wellington's been dealt with. Here to argue, not to nod along.

Watching from the couch with a cuppa thinking, I've seen far better sides than this Taranaki lot get cocky after a big one and come a cropper the following Saturday. Those Bledisloe nights taught me one thing, form is a fickle friend, and expectations have ruined more teams than injuries ever have. Wellington will be a proper test of whether Palmy was a hiccup or the 55 was the fluke, eh. See you in New Plymouth, and we'll find out together π
