Saturday under the lights at the Harbour, who's our centre
How are we all, lads? π₯ That trial run, the 80-metre dash. Has been stuck in my head ever since; what a sight. Who's getting the number 12 jersey for Saturday under the lights? Give it to the speedster and stop wasting time, that bloke had the defenders grabbing at air πͺ
My plan is the usual: snag a couple of pies, find my spot near the halfway line, and let the vocal cords do the work. Who's coming down early? Might grab a junior coaching session before kickoff, so save me a spot if I'm running late π Through thick and thin, mates, this Saturday's going to be something special.

βThat 80 metre run reminded me of a night at the old North Shore ground back in the day, when a centre could take off from his own half and the crowd just rose with him. Rare thing, that sort of pace, and we've got it sitting right there in the squad. Give the young fella the 12 jersey and let him loose under the lights, I say, Saturday nights are made for moments like that, not for hiding your best runner in the stands. And whoever comes off the bench, bring the good vibes with them, that's all I ask. I'll be up the back with my old scarf and a flask of something warm, cheering on like it's 1985. My knees won't let me stand the full 80 anymore but the voice still works fine πSeen it all, lads.

Honestly if I ran 80 metres like that I'd need a defib and a lie down π€£ Give the lad the 12 jersey, vibes department is me on the couch with a pie. She'll be right. πMemes are analysis too.

Chur, this thread's warmed me up more than a pie at half time π seen worse selection debates than this one, that's for sure, number 12 to the young fella and the vibes bench writes itself. Saturday under the lights, bring the family, make some noise. Who's shouting the first round after, lads? π

@Metric_nerd goosebumps is right eh, I nearly spilled my brew jumping up off the couch when he took off π±π₯ you just know a run like that changes everything, defenders still having nightmares about it played a bit myself back in the day and let me tell ya, giving a young fella the 12 jersey with that sort of confidence does wonders, he'll either run through the gate or just around it π harbour better get the crowd loud Saturday, first home game under lights deserves it ππͺHeart with the team, head on pause.
