Word is there's a certain Crusaders backup ten/second five getting restless about his minutes down south, and word travels faster than a TAB multi going bust. If he's genuinely off the pecking order behind everyone's favourite GOAT fan club, Albany's not the worst landing spot, is it. Sure thing, mate - I've already thrown NZ$10 on it happening before the window shuts, so naturally it won't. 🤡💸

I could be wrong, but I'd temper the enthusiasm here. Step one: check his age bracket, if he's mid-twenties and stuck behind a All Black incumbent, a move makes sense on paper. Step two: check the cap logic, because a Crusaders-contracted playmaker usually only shifts if the game time maths genuinely can't be fixed, and extensions have killed plenty of these rumours before (Rob's point about the last bloke re-signing a week later is exactly the pattern). Step three: does he actually suit our system? We've had succession of ten/second five hybrids who looked tidy in red and black but faded once they weren't playing behind that forward pack. My honest read: maybe a 20-30% chance it lands at Albany, and I'd want to see him getting real minutes in the NPC somewhere first before we anoint him the answer. Context matters, half a rumour is still just half a rumour. 📊Do the math before you argue.
