Me? If that NZ$800k's real, I'd be shoving most of it at someone who actually wins the kickoff collisions, because last season watching us cough up restart possession was basically a lottery with extra steps. I've dropped a cheeky multi or two on our line at the TAB that said the same thing. 😂
And in reality, anyone else heard the same name, or am I being wound up by a bloke who once told me Weepu was coming home? 😏

Righto, I'll be the wet blanket with a spreadsheet 📊, a big Southland Lock on NZ$800k only makes sense if he's 24-26 and unproven at NPC level, because anyone with real All Blacks minutes is already contracted through 2026 and Rugby NZ caps the top-ups anyway. Small sample though: property listings as a transfer signal is about as reliable as a lottery lineout throw. I'd rather see us spend half that on an uncapped lineout specialist and keep the rest for re-signing our own second-tier lads.Numbers > vibes.

BadBeatKing's about half right, though the contract point holds only if the bloke in question hasn't got a get-out clause buried in his NPC deal, and I'll believe the NZ$800k cap space when the union actually publishes the re-signings, not via someone's cousin on the North Shore. Still, I sat through enough shaky lineouts at Eden Park last season to want a genuine jumper whatever it costs.Sample first, conclusions after.
