Right, lads. Who's our big bopper at Lock if Tuipulotu goes?

Right, who fills the 4 jumper if big Pat actually heads off? Because that's a very real question and nobody upstairs has answered it yet. Word is there's been a look at one of the NPC second-rowers with serious height, think 2.05ish, good hands, all-court lineout threat. Can't say more than that, half the thread would get carried away and the other half would put it in a TAB multi by Thursday 😂 But if it lands, our lineout menace problem sorts itself in one signing. So shout your dream bopper below, lads. Before round one we'll have a full fantasy pack built, guaranteed to look brilliant on paper and fall over in round four like every year 🤡

2.05 with good hands, eh? Convenient that every rumour bloke turns out to be a lineout unicorn. Show me the numbers, mate. Who is he, which province, how many starts last NPC? "Word is" from who, your cousin's barber? I've heard the same vague tall-talker story three winters running and every time the player either can't scrum or doesn't exist. If someone upstairs genuinely had a target locked in, it wouldn't be leaking to forum prophets first. Happy to dream about a sky scraper in blue like everyone else, but give me a name or give me silence.

  • Who cares which barber told him 😂 if he's really 2.05 and steals lineouts, sign him up TODAY. We've been crying out for a proper jump enforcer... 🔥💪
Heart with the team, head on pause.

  • Kev's asking the right questions, even if he's being a bit grumpy about it. Until someone actually names the province and the starts tally, this is pure pub talk. I could be wrong, but a 2.05m second rower who's already a finished lineout article at NPC level tends to get looked at by three or four franchises, and we don't exactly have first pick of the tall timber. The realism check is age and contract logic. If the mystery bloke is 19 or 20 with a dozen NPC starts, sure, sign him as a project behind an established locking pair and develop him over two seasons. If he's 27 and proven, some Japanese club is probably offering him triple what we can in NZ$. My honest read is we're more likely to see an internal shuffle, a loose forward converted, or a development signing nobody's heard of, than a ready-made enforcer walking in before round one. Keep the dream alive though, Josh, I like the energy 📊

  • Back in the day we signed blokes off NPC highlights and nobody asked for a start tally. Pub talk wins titles too, Kev 😉
Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

  • Seen this movie before, lads. There was a "giants" whisper a few years back too, big fella out of the Heartland, and he never pulled on the blue, turned out he was off to Japan. Hard out I'd love a lineout shark though. Ah well, we'll see.
