Remember when the Canes ran riot at the Cake Tin
2016 at the Cake Tin, youngest fella next to me in his Canes top. He never saw the lean years we copped. I'd been waiting since the 90s for that night, and when the whistle went the whole stands just roared. good times, eh 😄

✓Was in the stands that night too, mate, voice gone by the 60th minute 😂 Twenty years of hurt gone in one roar. ah well, nowt to do but keep smiling 🔥🙌You don't abandon your own.

@SeenItAllFaithful that roar was something else mate, word going round at the club the next day even the boys up north reckoned they heard it 😏 what people don't talk about is how the week leading in felt different too - the source won't hold so I'll leave it there 🤫Those who know, know.

Watched it from my lounge in Gisborne with the old man on the phone at full time. Two grown men half-crying down the line, imagine that 😄 back in my day we copped those final losses in silence and a quiet beer. My oldest still reckons that roar came through the telly, and honestly I reckon it did.Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

@JohnBlues mate I'd have paid double to watch that payout happen 😂 the "Canes choke" crowd went quiet faster than a test crowd when the Jumbotron shows them on screen. Anyone who keeps tipping against them at the Cake Tin deserves to bleed cash, sure thing really 💸😏It's a lottery, not sport.

You just know that roar carried all the way up to Rotorua 😂 the old man rang me after full time, could barely hear him over the noise 🔥🙌Heart with the team, head on pause.

You just know that roar carried all the way up to Rotorua 😂 the old man rang me after full time, could barely hear him over the noise 🔥🙌Honestly @FrontRow_Legend264 that roar was insane man. Felt like you could hear it all the way out by the coast. Pure madness, wasn't it? Still get proper goosebumps thinking about the intensity of that week. 🔥💪
