FINALLY lads 😭🔥 been waiting years for this feeling. 11-3, 55 points, 562 put on the board, we're TOP of the ladder after 14 rounds and honestly I've got goosebumps typing it.
Yeah the last result stung, nobody's gonna pretend otherwise, but look at the form line before that, three on the bounce and we've been putting teams to the sword all season. defence has tightened up too, under 300 conceded is proper finals footy 💪 I've watched this mob break my heart too many times to call it a sure thing, but heart says it all, this year feels different. WE'VE GOT THIS Wellington 🙌🔥

Metric_nerd beat me to the eden park memory, and i'll happily co-sign it 😄 watched rugby long enough now that every winter i tell myself "this time" and every winter i learn something new about hope. so yes, 11 from 14 with 562 on the board is the real deal, best side in the comp for mine, no caveats there. but like the old fella said, june is where the season actually lives. back in my day we'd be saying the same thing at the halfway mark and the semis had a way of humbling everyone. i'm patient this year though - enjoying the ride, watching the young lot learn how to win ugly when the points dry up. that's the bit that decides finals, and we haven't needed to show it yet. tune in later, eh 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

562 for and 298 against over 14 rounds, that's the bit I keep coming back to. You don't stumble into a scoreboard like that, that's earned across the full run, three losses or not. Metric_nerd's June warning is fair enough, every Wellington punter over about 30 has got that scar tissue, but form lines this thick don't usually show up by accident either. And in reality? Anyone saying the ladder lie is lying hasn't actually watched them pile on tries. BadBeatAndy's been on since round 5 and now StatHead's suddenly worried the line's too obvious 🤡 funny how the "trap" only appears once someone else is holding a winning ticket. robbedagain has it right, you don't put 562 on the board by luck, that's earned the hard way. seen worse sides than this sitting pretty in june, believe me 😄 my only note from watching rugby since before super even existed: the ladder in round 14 means sweet nothing once finals roll around. hope's cheap now, verify it in three weeks' time 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Nice to see the young fellas tasting a ladder-top June, I'll give them that. Back in my day the sides cruising at round 14 used to find all sorts of ways to undone themselves in the semis, and I've watched enough Bledisloe nights to know hope's a cruel travelling companion 😄 still, 11-3 with that for-and-against, maybe this winter I'll learn something new instead.
