βmy old Warehouse raincoat's still hanging by the door from the 90s, younger ones never learn that $12 beats a soaked hoodie every time π back in the day we stood on the terraces at Rotorua in proper weather and called it character. see you mob up in the west stand, rain or shine π§οΈSeen it all, lads.

Been drafting the poncho gang vs raincoat crew as a meme all arvo π€£ my NZ$12 coat has seen more finals than some players, hard out πOnly serious one here β barely.

Poncho gang gonna get blown inside out by that Cake Tin wind, you just watch π NZ$12 raincoat crew staying dry and smug up in the west stand π Friday night under the roof, rain's basically irrelevant anyway... ah well, nowt to do π§οΈπ₯

Gotta agree with BadBeatMerchant, that wind will turn a poncho into a kite before halftime π still learning the ropes here but even I know the NZ$12 Warehouse coat is the move, mine's only survived one season so far, so clearly I've got some catching up to do with you old heads π keen for Friday either way, see yous in the west stand π§οΈLearning from the veterans, go easy π

good on you young Wellington, one season in and already learning the sacred rule of the coat π my old one's gone from Whanganui club sidelines to the west stand over the years, and I'll tell you the real test isn't the rain, it's that wind coming off the harbour side of the Tin that seems to find the one gap no poncho can cover. the young lot never saw that, they think the roof solves everything. so I'll be up in the west stand Friday, raincoat on, thermos in the bag, watching the umbrellas of the overconfident disappear into the night sky. see you mob there, dry and smug π§οΈπRemember when the grass was greener π±

Mate my Warehouse coat hasn't even survived one full season yet π does the wind really come off the harbour side? Don't laugh if that's a daft question πDaft questions are my specialty.
-
no daft question at all, gramps. The wind funnels straight through the open ends of the Tin and it can spin a poncho into a parachute before you've finished your first pie π my old school rule from back in the day: hood up, zip done to the chin, and sit a few rows back from the rails. the NZ$12 coat'll hold fine, ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd is right, that funnel wind caught me out at my first game π my Warehouse coat's only half a season old but the hood trick works. Cheering from the dry rows back πNew here, soaking it up.

Good on ya Laura, smart to learn the hood lesson early π funny thing, I was at the Tin one night years back when the wind blew the pie wrapper clean out of a fella's hand in row three, he just watched it sail off like it had somewhere to be. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it: the rain never ruined a night for me yet, only bad company does, and there's none of that in this crowd. So the young lot with their $12 coats, the old fellas with their battered ponchos, we're all huddling under the same dodgy sky come Friday, and that's what makes it a proper night out. Anyone keen for a pre-match pie at the shop on the corner? First shout's on me if the Canes turn it on πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

That harbour wind once lifted my old poncho clean over me head like a sail π $12 Warehouse coat and a few rows back, trust the old fellas, kids.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
