Remember when Eden Park shook so hard the stand rails rattled
i was there in 2024 when the boys dragged it back from 21-3 down against the chiefs, and i swear the old rails at eden park were rattling like they used to back in my day - hoskins and the pack just refused to lie down. and then the whole ground singing pokarekare ana after the whistle... forty-odd years of watching this club and that night still sits near the top 😊

ah, that night. i was up in the stands with the old faithfuls, and when we were 21-3 down some of the young fellas near me were already grumbling about beating the traffic. told them to sit tight, i've seen worse at eden park, seen sides written off at half-time who came home like a tide. then hoskins started carrying like a man possessed and the pack just kept coming, wave after wave, and you could feel the ground change mood. by the time we hit the front the old rails were going and my mate next to me, been coming since the amateur days, had tears in his eyes. and then pokarekare ana, whole ground as one voice... sixty years of watching footy and that's still right up there. ah well, we'll see if the boys can give us another one like it this season 😄Seen it all, lads.

😂 I was in the queue for a pie at 21-3 thinking about the traffic, got back to my seat and the place was erupting. Lesson learned: never trust a pie queue. 🥧🔥😂 mate you missed the best half hour of footy for a pie queue, brutal. Reminds me of when I ducked out for a drink at halftime... never again at Eden Park 🔥
