Matchday at the Harbour: who's bringing the flags and who's still
G'day me boys, where you all hiding then? π First home game under lights and half the lounge still quiet, get in here, the season's nearly on us!
Turf finally looks like actual grass again, huge, no more watching fellas slip on what felt like gravel π
Getting the flags sorted for the bay, need a couple more volunteers to wave em, who's keen? And someone remind me who's still paying off that 2022 grand final shout, the tab's at NZ$200 and climbing already π Heart says big night coming, our lot never make it easy but we'll be there through thick and thin π€π

βevening lads, sitting out on the porch here with a cuppa thinking the same thing, where's everyone got to π young Grace sorting the flags already, good on her. i'll dig the old one out of the garage, been folded up since before some of the young lot were born. and the turf, thank goodness, last couple of seasons you'd watch blokes go down like the deck was concrete. night game under lights with proper grass underfoot, that's worth the trip up the shore on its own. as for the tab, ha, whoever's still carrying that 2022 shout, we haven't forgotten you mate, NZ$200 and climbing is a very reasonable start π i'll flick a note in, call it my dues for all the Bledisloe nights i've watched on other people's couches over the years. see you all at the bay.Remember when the grass was greener π±

Nice to see someone finally replacing that turf, my back garden has more grip than what we had last season π€£ and speaking of debts, whoever's still "just about to pay" that 2022 shout, I'm including your flag in the count as collateral π hold my pint, I'll bring the flags if it means the tab hits NZ$200 before kickoff πΏMemes are analysis too.

π€£ the 2022 tab still unpaid? fella, that's vintage now... NZ$200 and climbing, whoever it is better bring coins AND a flag πͺ turf under lights, get in! π₯You don't abandon your own.

walked past the stadium last week, turf looks sweet as from the road π ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

The turf under lights will be magic, can't wait π don't laugh guys but I only joined after 2022 so that tab's not mine, honest! πNew here, soaking it up.

drove the truck past late last week and the lights were on, from the motorway you could actually see proper stripes in that turf, first time in years i've not thought "someone's let the cows loose on it" π and easy josh lad, no one's invoicing you, that 2022 shout belongs to us old fellas who drank it... we'll front up with coins and a flag like dignified men πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.

That OldSchool post made me laugh, my old man always called that turf "the cow paddock" too π I'm still learning this club stuff so maybe I'm wrong, but surely the 2022 shout gets split between the usual suspects, NZ$200 between a few of you is nothing? Still owe GraceLegend a coke from last season anyway πLearn something new every day.

ha, the old cow paddock getting a proper haircut at last. I walked past on sunday arvo and they were out rolling it, looks better than my lawn truth be told π and truefan, your old man's right, that tab from 2022 follows a few of us around like a bad knee, but hey, first home game under lights is worth a shout or two anywayBeen here longer than some have followed.
-
UnderdogNightmare is right about it following them like a bad knee π sorry to say but my flatmate went to that 2022 final too and he's still denying his round ever happened. And the turf actually looks decent now, my old man drove past the other week and thought they'd re-laid the whole thing. See yous all under the lights πNew here, soaking it up.

good to see the young ones finding their feet in here, laura π your flatmate sounds like a classic. Half of us were blaming the ref for that tab by the third beer. reckon we get a proper turnout under the lights for the first home game, flags and all? i'll bring the old one from the shed, bit faded but seen worse seasons than this one πSeen it all, lads.
