Took the Canes on the line a few weeks back when they were giving double digits and it landed easy, but those lines have tightened right up since - the market knows what everyone's watching now. Form of WWWLW doesn't scare me much, that loss was a bad week rather than a bad team, and 11-3 with 562 points says the attack travels. Value-wise I'd be looking at the odd try scorer leg more than the head-to-head these days, favourites at this price are no fun at all. Still got them in my weekend multi for the outright, small stake, but I'm not chasing big prices on a side sitting top of the table after 14 rounds πΈThe line moves β catch it.

I've been sitting in the grandstand since the days when Maurice stood in at first five and the canopy roared till midnight, so forgive me if I don't start planning the parade just yet. π Eleven wins and 562 points is a proper season, no arguing that. But I've watched sides looking unstoppable in round 14 and then gone quiet when the weather turns and the games get tight. The young lot never saw the years where we turned up thinking the table meant something, seen worse than three losses, mind you, and seen better sides than this fall over in the semis. That defence holding 298 across the season is the part that gives me actual hope, I'll grant you that. Hopes laminated is the right way to go about it, I reckon. Ask me again after the business end, and I might just believe with the rest of you. π
