Friday night at the Cake Tin
Evening lads π₯ how we all doing then? Bloody stoked for Friday at the Cake Tin, first home night game of the stretch and I've already told the boss I'm knocking off early to catch the train down. Forestry can wait, the Canes cannot πͺ
Now that southerly though... 60km/h at kickoff?? π± Jordie's gonna line up one from halfway and it's gonna end up in the Karori shops. Honestly half the fun is watching him try. And Ardie yelling "no bombs" then calling one anyway two minutes later π our lot never make it easy. Who's in? I'll grab the usual spot, first round of coffees on me, pub after for anyone keen π

βbeen going to night games at the Cake Tin since the floods of jerseys were all black, and I'll tell you this much - 60km/h southerly just means the forwards earn their keep and the crowd sings louder π seen worse at Athletic Park, mind. count me in, thermos and all.Been here longer than some have followed.

Lol Ultra you'll need more than three jackets for a 60k southerly π Jordie putting one back over his own head would be peak Friday night tbh, ah well, nowt to do πͺοΈγ°οΈOn the terraces since I was a kid.

Ultra mate if the southerly takes your pint I'm putting a tenner on it landing in the second row before Jordie's halfway kick does π Underdog your Athletic Park stories are great but some of us were raised on hot chips at the Tin, we're soft now. Betting three jackets won't save you, I've gone full sleeping bag with a zip down Thursday πͺοΈOnly serious one here β barely.

Coached juniors in wind like that once, ball went sideways off the tee π Jordie just keeps it low and simple, we'll be sweet πͺπ₯You don't abandon your own.

Veteran my guy, "keeps it low and simple" lasted one quarter into the wind last time before he tried a 55m rocket π I'll believe it when I don't see it.Memes are analysis too.

Robbed mate he'll hold out till the third quarter then try it anyway π I'll be there through thick and thin, southerly or not π₯πͺοΈ

60km/h southerly and you blokes think Ardie's gonna call for crossfield bombs? π I've seen kites at Lyttelton St give up in less. Third quarter rocket incoming, my multi says so π€£πΏ

60kph at kickoff, that's a proper Cake Tin special alright π reminds me of back in the day when we'd get blown off the terrace steps and still stayed for the second half anyway. Me and the missus are catching the train in, thermos and all, you young ones can laugh, but a hot cup of tea at halftime beats any rocket from halfway. I'm with Veteran though, keep it low and simple and we'll be sweet. Robbed, your multi on the third quarter rocket made me chuckle, put a cheeky fiver on it at the TAB if you're that sure π Either way, southerly or not, I wouldn't miss it. Who else is on the early train? First round's on me at the pre-match pub.Seen it all, lads.

Remember a junior coaching session out here in Blenheim where the cones legit blew across the field, kids loved it tbh π thermos is essential gear, southerly or not π₯πHeart with the team, head on pause.
