From our first win to the Siva Tau that still gives me goosebumps
i remember when that crusaders night came round, my old knees had me sitting in the stands instead of the embankment, but my heart was twenty again. when that final whistle went at mt smart i just about lost my voice, and the Mrs next to me was crying proper tears. half of south auckland was still out in the car park at midnight singing, and me being an old southlander up there among them, well, that said everything about what this club means.
back in the day i watched the great bledisloe nights at eden park and thought i'd seen the best of it, but the siva tau before that match, the whole ground shaking... still gives me goosebumps just thinking of it. our whanau indeed. ah well, we'll see what the next few seasons bring 😉

✓Crying tears? mate I was down the embankment and nearly went in myself 😂 grew up in Palmy but caught the bus up with a few of the boys for that one - when the Siva Tau hit the whole ground just lifted, still get goosebumps tbh. Stayed in the car park singing till they chucked us all out 🙌 🎶

that car park singing went on well past midnight, my old lady reckons she could hear it from our place in Otahuhu 😄 reminds me a bit of the big bledisloe nights at eden park when i was a young fella, whole city humming afterwards. nights like that you don't forget, and that siva tau still raises the hairs on my neck every time.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.
