hard to believe it's been twenty years. i was at home in Dunedin that night, mates around the telly, and when ben smith lifted that thing we were all out the front door yelling at the street like idiots. watched the whole run from sopoaga kicking us around the park to nasi manu charging over against the chiefs, and honestly back in my day i never thought i'd see a highlanders side win the whole thing. seen worse teams lift it, and none deserved it more than that bunch. curious where everyone else was that night, pub, couch, or lucky enough to be in Wellington? 😄

✓Was watching from the couch in Blenheim with my old man, both of us losing our minds when Sopoaga dropped that goal 🔥 still remember Siale tearing past the Chiefs in the semi, geez what a night. I was in my mate's lounge in Whanganui that night, and I still say that 2015 side had a spread of leaders Ben Smith, Nasi, Sopoaga all hitting form at once, which the current squad is still searching for. I could be wrong, but this mob have the raw talent, they just lack that settled spine. Give them two or three more seasons of growing together and who knows, mate.Do the math before you argue.
