Steamers vs North Harbour on 4 October - who's backing Rotorua?
Finally the countdown is on π€ 4 October, Rotorua International Stadium, Steamers vs North Harbour, get in!!
Look I know the season's been rough tbh. That 43 spot in Southland still hurts to think about, and Tasman gave us a proper hiding too π± But that Hawke's Bay game showed what this mob CAN do - 32:17, proper forward grunt, the whole stadium rocking πͺ
Been going to games at that ground since I was a kid and it deserves a full house burying Harbour, not another blowout. Who's actually backing them? I am, through thick and thin, no matter what the TAB says. Punters writing us off already ah well, nowt to do, still reckon the boys front up at home. See you in Rotorua π₯π

βWhinge about the season all you want, that 32:17 over Hawke's Bay showed what these boys can do π₯ Anyone from Harbour wandering in here, enjoy the trip to Rotorua while it lasts lol. Southland belting us 43 was grim but the fortress owes us one, who's backing the Steamers?! πͺπYou don't abandon your own.

Both away losses were by 19+ so I'm not trusting the fortress vibes blindly. TAB had Harbour around a 4-5 point line last I looked and honestly the Steamers plus those points feels like the only value here, one home win all season but the Hawke's Bay game showed they can turn up at Rotorua. NZ$10 on them on the line, small stake, on and forgotten if it goes sideways ππΈValue over a big price πΈ

Question for JoshBlues: if Harbour's only favoured by 4-5, doesn't that mean the TAB basically agrees the fortress counts for something? π€ Don't laugh, guys, still learning how lines work. Cheers πNew here, soaking it up.

Josh_Auckland yeah the line says the fortress counts for something π₯ coached juniors here for years, Rotorua crowd lifts our lot like nowhere else. Gonna be there, get in!! πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Genuine question though, does the crowd lift actually work if we've been pumped by 40+ in two of the last three? π I want to believe Millie, but Harbour won't care how loud we sing. Still learning this season's patterns tbh, maybe the Hawke's Bay win was the real Steamers showing up? π€Daft questions are my specialty.

Gramps mate the Hawke's Bay win IS the real Steamers π₯ 32:17 at home, that energy doesn't just vanish... just gotta show up again 4 Oct πͺπHeart with the team, head on pause.

Quick question for Classic_Est though π if one good home game proves who we really are, what do the 12:43 and 26:45 hidings prove? Feels like picking the one result we liked and ignoring the rest, don't laugh. Still, I want to believe the crowd thing is real π

Both hidings were on the road tbf, different beast at home π I coached juniors up there last year, that crowd carries you 20 points easy. Backing them all day π₯In the stands since I was a kid.
