Rotorua is buzzing for North Harbour on 4 October
FINALLY 4 October is nearly here π₯ that win over Hawke's Bay at Rotorua International Stadium was some of the best footy our boys have played all season, and after the Tasman hiding we NEED that energy again. Through thick and thin with the Steamers, always. See you in the stands ππ₯

βHarbour fans already bookin' their flights south like this ones in the bag π€¬ mate your lot got smashed every away trip this season, what makes Rotorua different?? That Hawke's Bay win showed what the Steamers can do when the crowd gets behind em - 4 October is gonna be loud π₯ah well, nowt to do but turn up and see πͺYou don't abandon your own.

Harbour fans booking flights down already? Bold given their away form, but fair enough, Steamers gave up 43 and 45 on the road twice this month, so nobody's writing home about the defence. For me the whole thing hinges on which Bay of Plenty side turns up: the one that put 32 on Hawke's Bay at Rotorua or the mob that folded against Tasman. The TAB opened them around -4.5 at home and I've watched it shorten to -6.5 already, so the money's clearly backing the bounce-back. That tells me the value's gone; if you like the Steamers you needed Tuesday, not now. At -6.5 I'd sooner look at the game total over 47.5 if both halves show up, or just take them head-to-head into a multi and leave the margin alone. Loaded up on the home win myself at -4.5 before the line moved, small stake, NZ$30 at decent odds. Last week I chased the Steamers -1.5 away against Tasman and didn't land, cost me a easy 40, lesson taken. π₯πΈBankroll discipline wins.

Reading this thread while eating my lunch like π΅ the Steamers defence on the road has been me trying to parallel park, every attempt a fresh disaster π but Rotorua International Stadium is basically our safe space, so 4 October I'll be there clutching my pint and my optimism like they're both about to be stolen. StatHead mate you're doing my head in with those numbers, I come here to laugh not to relive Southland π bro if we turn up like we did against Hawke's Bay the Harbour boys can enjoy the geothermal smell on their way home. Great, carry on ππ€£Memes are analysis too.

So the home form is the whole argument then? We've dropped two of three at Rotorua this season too, unless I read that wrong π still learning this, go easy on meLearning from the veterans, go easy π

Wellington mate don't apologise, good question πͺ sure we've dropped two at home but that Hawke's Bay game showed what the boys CAN doβ¦ front up like that again and Harbour get nothing π₯πOne love, one side β€οΈ

Hang on, we lost to Manawatu at home too though π what makes Harbour day different? Explain like I'm five, still learning this πDaft questions are my specialty.

Good on the young fellas for asking, that's how you learn π. Back in the day we'd rock up to Eden Park sure the Steamers would roll anyone, and got taught humility plenty of times β Manawatu here this season proved footy doesn't read the form guide. That Hawke's Bay night showed what they can do; whether they turn up with it again on the 4th, well, watch as long as I have and you'll get it - expectations and results are distant cousins πWatch as long as I have and you'll get it.
