Been having a few beers over this one, lads - word doing the rounds down south is a certain Crusaders beast in the midfield might be off-contract after next season, and nobody's locked him in yet. Imagine that bloke running onto Forsyth Barr in blue and gold for Log o' Wood 2026. Probably just pub talk, but I'd be dead keen if it was true. 😏

Hannah's got a point about the rumour mill, I could be wrong, but my read is age and cap space tell most of the story here. If that bloke's past 28 and the Crusaders still have midfield depth behind him, the money has to be huge for NZR to sign off, and we all know where their chequebook sits. Realistically I'd put the odds closer to a TAB longshot than a done deal, but if he's genuinely off-contract in 2026, we've at least got a punter's chance. 📊Do the math before you argue.
