Righto lads, gut feeling says we're not done shopping at 10 yet, word from a mate with ties to Logan Park is there's been a few quiet conversations about bringing a recognised playmaker south before round one. Heard it secondhand so take it with a grain of salt, but the chatter is a returning All Black name has been floated internally. Anyone else hearing the same, or am I just dreaming big like everyone else? 😏

Even if the mole stuff is half true I'm buzzing 😂 who wouldn't want a proper All Black calibre 10 running our attack?? Half our season last year died at first receiver tbh, we needed someone to control the big moments. Take a punt on a name lads, what's the worst that happens 🤷 ah well, nowt to do but dream big ehOne love, one side ❤️

I could be wrong, but the maths on a returning All Black 10 looks shaky to me - anyone of that calibre already contracted offshore or locked in with another franchise, and mid-career playmakers rarely shift south for the money we'd realistically table. A bolter from the NPC makes far more sense: cheaper, hungrier, and the age profile fits a rebuild. Sample size of one franchise doesn't stop me hedging though, sanity could prevail and someone might fall into our lap 📊Do the math before you argue.

Chris has a point, on condition that nobody at the NPC level has out-of-the-box contract leverage. Seen plenty of young playmakers jump south for game time.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Seen this movie before, lads 😄 back in the day we all got worked up over a rumour about a big-name first five heading south, months of quiet whispers, blokes swearing their cousin knew a fella at the union, and come round one we were back with the same lad at 10 wondering what all the fuss was about. Watch as long as I have and you'll get it: moles love a chat, but contracts rarely move. Still, no harm dreaming eh.
