Squad salary caps being what they are, NZ$400k for a quality 12 is tight but doable if we offload depth elsewhere. I could be wrong, but age profile matters more than the name here 📊Do the math before you argue.

ChrisDiehard387 makes a fair point about age profile, but I'd add one caveat: a 12 who can pass is useless if he can't tackle. That last quarter collapse was defence first, link play second. So sure, chase the ball-player, just demand the surname and the tackle count before anyone starts celebrating a NZ$400k spend.

Honestly GloryDays hit it for me. You just know a 12 who can't put in the shot will get exposed every time 💀 but if we find one who can do BOTH at that price, sign him tomorrow. Link play with actual defence? backing them all day. Ah well, nowt to do but wait and see who's actually on the market 🏉On the terraces since I was a kid.

So sure, chase the ball-playe…@Harry_Reds nah I hear ya on the defence, watched our 12 get rinsed all arvo last season... you can have the silkiest hands in the comp but if you're missing one-on-ones out wide it's all for nought 😤 reckon there's a couple of NPC lads who tackle above their weight and can pass a bit too, someone just has to actually sign them 🔥You don't abandon your own.
