Remember when Carisbrook shook so hard the old wooden stand actually
i remember when the old wooden stand at the 'Brook used to creak under a full house, whole thing groaning like it might give way and nobody cared a jot. best night i ever had there was that 2012 game against the crusaders, the noise was something else, and half of Dunedin walked home singing after. the young lot never saw that old ground at its best, more's the pity. 😄

✓Mate I was up on the terraces that 2012 night, soaked through and losing my voice by halftime 😱 when we landed the blow on the Crusaders the whole stand proper shook, thought the old girl was gonna come down on us 🙌 walked back into town with a heap of strangers all singing, arms over shoulders. Does it get any better than that?? Through thick and thin, that night summed us up 💪🔥

ah the creaking stand, you two have opened the floodgates now 😄 i used to park the truck out that way on match days and you could hear the crowd from a few streets off. back in my day me and the boys would pile in with a flask and pies, standing room only, knees jammed against the rail, and everyone just accepted the old timber groaning away like it was part of the team. that 2012 night though, what got me wasn't even the win, it was the walk after. whole streets of Dunedin just humming, shop lights on, strangers yelling across the road at each other like they'd known each other for years. you don't get that in a shiny new stadium, no matter how good the seats are. the 'Brook had soul, seen worse grounds in my time but none with more heart. cheers for dragging that one back up lads 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

That 2012 side had something special, didn't they, a heap of them came through together and you could feel it in the way they defended that lead. The current mob show flashes of the same grit, though I'd hold off on any big comparisons for a while yet; a few good weeks is a small sample. Still, when the crowd gets going like it did that night, anything feels possible 📊Numbers > vibes.

My clearest memory of that night is losing my beanie somewhere on the terraces and finding it two rows down being worn by a total stranger who just shrugged at me like it was community property now 😂 reckon the old stand creaked louder than my voice lasted. Gonna be a fun night when they finally build something that shakes like that again 🤣Memes are analysis too.

Haha John that beanie story is gold 😂 never leave anything loose on the terraces bro. OldSchoolEst the roar carrying streets away is so true, my old man swore the whole south Dunedin heard when we held on that night 💪 yeah Guru has a point about small samples but those current boys showing grit already got me dreaming... through thick and thin eh 🙌🔥One love, one side ❤️

@FullbackNut my old man reckons the seagulls fled the 'Brook that night 😂 current boys can earn their own legends, carry onOnly serious one here — barely.

Never got to the 'Brook myself, drove down for a few games in the end years and even the half-empty nights had something special about them. Would've happily chucked a lazy NZ$20 on those boys that night just to feel the payout get drowned out by the noise 😂 Current side needs to earn a roar like that, and I reckon they're not far off.The line moves — catch it.
