Kia ora Chiefs whΔnau, matchday eve at the Fortress
Kia ora whΔnau π₯ how are you lot doing lads?? Matchday eve already and I'm buzzing, got the day off, driving up early, gold-and-black scarf coming with me πͺ I'll be at the tailgate from midday near Gate B, keen to chuck a few snags on the BBQ if someone brings the bread. Fortress is gonna be LOUD tomorrow... let's give the boys that noise ππ€π

βHa, the sausage sizzle thread delivers again π i'll flick josh a few nz$ for the snags when i see him at gate b, been doing this since the days you had to fight for a spot on the grass bank, and the fortress on a saturday arvo still gives me the same tingle. scarf's washed and ready, boys will feel the noise from the first scrum. see you all at midday πBeen here longer than some have followed.

Snags sorted, bread covered, someone just better guard that scarf cos the last gold-and-black one at gate B got claimed by a seagull mid-haka π€£ hold my pint, I'll bring the tomato sauce and zero skills at the BBQ, gonna be a fun night lads πΏ

Lmao Chris the seagull story gets me every time π€£ I'll chuck a few NZ$ in for the snags too josh, got some onions sorted as well π₯ Fortress on a Saturday arvo, tingle's real, the boys are gonna feel that Gate B noise πͺπOne love, one side β€οΈ

righto, count me in for a few nz$ towards the snags too josh, and millie those onions are the real mvp here π back in the day we used to queue outside the old gate an hour before kick-off just to get a decent spot on the bank, no BBQs, no tailgate etiquette, just a pie and a flat white from the dairy. funny how the seagulls still run the place though. Seen worse disasters at test nights up at Eden Park, mind. i'll be there from midday, gold-and-black scarf around the neck like it's the 90s again. bring the noise for the boys at Gate B, they'll feel it right up in the stands. ah well, we'll see πSeen it all, lads.

haha lee, don't worry son, first tailgate's the best one π i'll bring an old gold-and-black scarf spare, weather they say looks decent saturday arvo too.Remember when the grass was greener π±

Haha Lee I was the same at my first tailgate, stood there holding tongs like they were foreign objects π don't laugh but I still burn snags half the time, maybe I'm wrong but cheering is honestly a full job anyway. Millie's onions sound lethal though. See you lot near Gate B π

Cheering is a full job, agreed π I still panic with tongs myself. I'll chuck a few NZ$ in the tin, see you near Gate B π@Lucy_Blues582 burnt snags are a tailgate tradition, don't fight it π I once got so into the pre-match hype I put my multi on the wrong margin band, cost me the whole leg. Cheering well is a skill, half the crowd wouldn't last 40 minutes of it. See you at Gate B.Bankroll discipline wins.

lee son, half the fun of the first tailgate is burning the snags, that's how you earn your tongs π i'll chuck a few nz$ in the tin too, and i'm bringing one of those old fold-out chairs that's older than some of the boys on the park. the bank at the old ground never had it this good, but i'll take a sausage and a full noise saturday arvo any day. see you all near Gate B πRemember when the grass was greener π±

@GrampsSinceKid good on ya mate, few NZ$ in the tin is few NZ$ more than most chuck in π Gate B's a mission in itself when the weather turns, word going round the front carpark gets pretty lively before kick-off so get in early. Fair warning from someone who knows the ground crew, sounds like there's a bit of a surprise planned for the pre-match stuff tomorrow. That's all I'll say for now π€« you'll all find out soon enough πWord isβ¦ but you didn't hear it here π€«
