Remember when Eden Park shook the roof off in 2003. Blues legends
ah 2003, now you're talking. i was up from Dunedin staying with a cousin in auckland that winter and we got to a couple of those nights at eden park, and i swear the place felt like it was going to lift clean off the ground when carlos started flinging those no-look passes. everyone around us knew what was coming and still nobody could believe it when the ball ended up in joe's hands.
mate, watching rokocoko hit that left wing at full pace, you'd half stand up before he even got the ball, just knew. seen a lot of rugby since then and not much has matched those friday nights. what a side, what a season. 😉

✓Mate I was 12 watching on the telly in Gizzy, screaming at Carlos like he could hear me 🔥 those nights made me a Blues fan for life 🙌Heart with the team, head on pause.

you've just given me a flashback to the quarterfinal that year, sitting in the old member stand with my old man, and when Rokocoko took off down the left the whole terrace sort of rose as one bloke. i'd watched Test rugby since the amateur days and thought i'd seen everything, but Carlos floating those no-look passes out the back of his hand was something else entirely. we didn't even need to see where he'd thrown it, we just knew Joe or Doug would be there. and young fella from Gizzy, you were 12 screaming at the telly? i was probably doing the same from the lounge in Tauranga and i was twice that age 😄 funny how a season like that gets its hooks in you for life. still reckon that squad had more talent than they knew what to do with.

hope none of you guys remember when someone in the stand tried to high-five Rokocoko mid-dive. 😂 pure chaos that year, legend.
