From the wilderness to our fortress
i remember when the force were everyone's punchline, years of travelling over the ditch just to get thumped. then that chiefs night at HBF Park in 2023 - final siren goes and the place near lifted off the ground, loudest roar i've heard from our mob, ever. back in my day at all sorts of grounds i've seen worse nights than that, but few better ones 😉 still gives me goosebumps thinking about it.

✓Was up the back of the shed end with my old man that night, throat wrecked by the siren 😱 proper mean night, everyone hugging strangers and all. Had a TAB multi on us that week too, only leg that got up 😂 nights like that you remember why you stuck with our lot through thick and thin 💪You don't abandon your own.

mate, that chiefs night had me thinking back to the old school days when we used to get hammered at every away ground you could name 😄 i was halfway up the grass bank with my daughter, and when the siren went she grabbed me round the neck and nearly took me off my feet - loudest i've heard HBF since it was nib. nights like that pay you back for all the grim years, eh. 😉Seen it all, lads.
