Be honest - does anyone in Cardiff actually care about the Bledisloe
does anyone in cardiff care about the bledisloe? course they don't. They've got their own november worries, and 60 points against 102 in three games tells you why. the all blacks on 15 points look like a different species, so the cup only really breathes when australia are involved, back in the day it was the same at eden park, wallabies nights had the edge. ah well, we'll see.

✓Tbf mate, I'd rather watch us in Cardiff than any Wallabies warm-up 🙌 121 points in three games, hot dang! But nah, nobody in Wales rates the Cup - ah well, nowt to do 💪On the terraces since I was a kid.

Metric_nerd's got it. Wales are 5th with 5 points and a -42 goal line - Cardiff's already eyeing the Wallabies clash, not our lot 😏 And FixIsInEnjoyer, enjoy those 121 points while they last 🤡Any stat can be bent.

Fair point from Andy, but the Cup heats up whenever the Wallabies front us. Cardiff will tune in on the 21st once England loom for the ABs anyway. 📊Do the math before you argue.

FrontRowFan's got the shape of it right, and I'd only add a caveat on the sample: three matches is three matches. The 121-70 looks dominant until you remember a couple of those margins came against sides that had already checked out, so I wouldn't read too much into the goal difference alone. There's a nuance there between scoring volume and who you scored it against. For what it's worth, I keep my own table every round, spreadsheet going back years now, my wife reckons I spend more time on it than on the actual footy - and the pattern never changes: the Bledisloe only gets pulse readings in Cardiff when the Wallabies are the ones involved. The 14th at the Millennium will be a full house because it's the All Blacks, full stop, same as the Scots will pack Murrayfield on the 7th. The Cup itself? That's background noise up there. The 21st is when the Welsh lads start caring, because England loom for us the same day and suddenly the whole November table means something.

Was in Cardiff for the 21st kickoff years back - locals only cared about who beat England 😂 Wallabies hosting Oz on the 21st while we're at Twickenham says it all 🤬

FrontRowFan nailed it, and FixIsInPTSD's sample caveat is fair too, three matches is nothing. I keep my own table every round and even I wouldn't hang a thesis on a -42 goal difference this early; context matters, and half of Cardiff's attention will be on the 21st regardless of who's visiting us a week prior. I could be wrong, but from what mates tell me after trips over there, the Welsh only really switch on for England week anyway 📊

Cardiff on the 14th will be half empty by the 60th minute if our boys fire like they have been 😂 anyone wanna punt on Wales even staying within the line? ah well, nowt to do 🔥You don't abandon your own.

SeenItAllFaithful, I'd be cautious with that line talk - I could be wrong, but a Welsh crowd at home on the 14th rarely leaves early, even at 30 points down. My own table has NZ comfortably ahead, though three matches is a thin sample, as FixIsInPTSD says. Wryest detail from my old Cardiff trip: the locals asked me about the Wallabies more than us.Do the math before you argue.

Cardiff will sing through the whole thing regardless, my old coach always said the crowd stays 😂 honestly the Cup only feels alive when our lot play the Wallabies, TBH 🏉

Cardiff will sing through the whole thing regardless, my old coach always said the crowd stays 😂 honestly the Cup only feels alive when our lot play the Wallabies, TBH 🏉@Supporter_23 your old coach knew his stuff, the Cardiff crowd sings from first whistle to last, win or lose, I've seen it on enough november tours to believe it. as for the Cup only feeling alive against the Wallabies... partially agree with you there, mate. back in the day a bledisloe night at Eden Park was the whole country stopping for it, that's for sure. but the welsh tests have their own flavour, my old man used to say the valleys sing before they even know the score 😉 watch as long as I have and you'll get it: any crowd that stays to the end when they're getting beat still cares plenty.Seen it all, trust me.

back in my day we used to rug up in the old terraces at Carisbrook for a november test, and i can tell you the welsh never leave early. They just sing louder. so no, i won't be punting on the crowd going home at the 60th minute, SeenItAllFaithful. what i'd say about the bledisloe question is this: the cup only really hums when the wallabies are involved, and everyone in cardiff knows it too. they'll care plenty about us on the 14th, mind - 121 points in three games is the sort of form that makes even a packed Millennium nervous. and while the 21st against england will grab the headlines, an old boy like me has seen worse welsh sides turn up angry at home. she'll be right either way, eh. i'll be up watching with a cup of tea and no expectations either way 😄Been here longer than some have followed.
