Are Mooloo actually good, or did Manawatu just make them look it?
FINALLY the big one is nearly here π±π₯ Wellington away on the 27th and tbh I've had this circled since the draw came out. Two hidings in a row, 14:36 to Canterbury at home, then 34 points coughed up to Northland, and I was proper filthy, couldnt watch. Then boom, 36:27 over Manawatu and suddenly the Mooloo faithful are out chanting again ah well, nowt to do but back them through thick and thin πͺ
Honest question though. Which pack actually turns up? The one that got shunted backwards at FMG or the one that finally strung some phases together? Still remember getting among it at a rainy Ranfurly Shield challenge years back, whole town turned up, that's what this jersey means. Punters on the TAB will be all over the line either way, I just want the boys to front up in Wellington. GET IN if we win this π₯π

βMate we MADE you look good for one half then our lot fell apart π€ don't get comfy, Wellington will smash this hype out of ya π₯Heart with the team, head on pause.

Chased the TAB line on Wellington away and honestly it's priced like the Canterbury game never happened. Two hidings then suddenly they're only getting a handful of points at the Cake Tin? I've seen this movie. The Manawatu win flattered them, so give me the home side and value over a big price every time. πΈThe line moves β catch it.

Which Waikato turns up? Mate, I'm just here refreshing the weather like it'll tell me something π My 27th already looks like me before a deadline: two hidings then one lucky win π€£πΏMemes are analysis too.

Katie88, i reckon you're reading that line right, though i'd be careful writing off a side off two poor afternoons. watch as long as i have and you'll see seasons turn on one tight win - that manawatu game might've settled a few nerves in that sheds more than any training run would. mind you, 36 points conceded to canterbury at home, then 34 up north... that's not a wobble, that's a pattern, so your scepticism earns its keep π the young lot never saw it, but back in my day waikato's lot could look hopeless in june and have the trophy by spring. Wellington away at the cake tin is a proper measuring stick, if they turn up like they did against canterbury it'll be a long arvo for the mooloo faithful. i'll be watching with a cuppa either way, no money on it from me, i gave the TAB my punting habit up years ago πRemember when the grass was greener π±

Katie's right, that TAB line smells like the Manawatu game did all the talking. Beat the worst side on your schedule at home and suddenly you're live at the Cake Tin? πAny stat can be bent.

Katie88 makes a fair point about the line, though i'd say andy is being a bit harsh calling manawatu the worst side on the schedule. they still had to score 36 points against someone, and back in my day you took any win at fmg stadium and said thank you very much π i've watched mooloo long enough to know one good afternoon proves nothing either way. i sat in the terraces at hamilton in the amateur days when they'd look world beaters one week and forget how to tackle the next - some things never change. Wellington away will tell us far more than manawatu ever could. if they front up at the cake tin and stay in the fight for 80 minutes, i'll start believing. if it's another 30-odd point hiding, then that manawatu game was just the weather being kind to us. seen worse, mind you. seen better too πBeen here longer than some have followed.

17 points at Northland, 14 at home to Canterbury, those hidings don't just vanish, mate. Manawatu flattered you lot. πHere to argue, not to nod along.

robbedagain has a point about those hidings, no argument from me - seen worse from mooloo sides though, and they always find one afternoon that flatters them. i'd just say hold your horses on manawatu being rubbish; 36 points don't fall out of the sky. Wellington away will tell us the truth soon enough πSeen it all, trust me.

Two hidings, then 36 at home to the worst side on the list. And half of you suddenly fancy the trip to Wellington. I put NZ$20 on them losing that one, easy money ππ€‘Here to argue, not to nod along.

Bledisloe nights taught me one thing, mooloo sides look world-beaters one week, lost the next. Wellington away will tell us plenty, I reckon. πRemember when the grass was greener π±
