Anyone else waiting days for a payout from bookmaker or is it just me?
Bit nervous asking this, don't laugh π
I've only ever used the TAB here and withdrawals were pretty painless. Is the bookie safe to sign up with as a Kiwi punter, or will they muck me around when I try to pull my money out? Keen to hear how long yours took π

βNo laughing needed mate, half this thread started exactly where you are. My TAB payouts have always landed quick, same day usually when I've pulled out after a multi lands. Never had them muck me around on limits either. I can't speak for the sportsbook from my own account, never had a payout there myself, but the pattern you hear from punters is the delay usually comes at verification, first withdrawal especially. Once the account's verified it tends to move quicker. If they're sitting on it days past what they promised with no word, that's when I'd be pushing them via chat rather than email. Keen to see what others here say about their actual wait times πΈBankroll discipline wins.

i remember those first times I started putting money down, feeling a bit jumpy myself. aye, you're right to be cautious with anyone online, kid. most of them will ask for verification stuff, passport scans or something, just to be safe, and once thatβs sorted, usually the payouts aren't too much fuss if you stick to the bigger ones.Remember when the grass was greener π±

Payout speed is only half the story, mate. Every bookie, TAB included, will cut your maximum stake once you show a profit, so your winning slip suddenly gets capped to pocket change while losing ones take full NZ$ amounts. Nobody in this thread mentioned that yet, and it's the part they never advertise. Ask them where the max bet limits are published before you sign up.

GloryDays has a point worth taking seriously. I keep a spreadsheet of my own withdrawals (yes, I'm that guy π), and the pattern I see with bookmaker is that the first couple of payouts after a win tend to crawl, usually a day or two past the promised window, then it settles down once you're a known customer. Verification is the usual culprit the first time, so getting your ID sorted before you need the money makes a real difference. I'd add one caveat to the staking-limit argument though. I could be wrong, but my limits got trimmed after a decent run on Super Rugby lines, yet my payouts themselves were never held up beyond that initial lag. So the cap and the slow withdrawal seem to be two separate gears, and mixing them up makes the whole experience sound worse than it is. For a new punter like Dave, I'd say the money does come out, just expect the first one to test your patience.Do the math before you argue.

Paul_Fan, that lines up with what I've seen too. I track my own payout times in a spreadsheet (occupational hazard, I'm a data analyst), and with the sportsbook my slowest withdrawals all clustered after weekends where I'd actually beaten them. One took nearly three days past the stated window after a decent All Blacks test win for me, no email, no reason, just silence until I pinged support. Small caveat on my sample though, it's only about a dozen withdrawals, so I'd be careful calling it a pattern rather than noise. FrontRowFan's theory about verification triggers on winning streaks sounds plausible, but until someone logs enough data points to separate the two, it could just be queue congestion on Mondays. Worth keeping records either way, takes two minutes and settles arguments like this one.Numbers > vibes.

Same pattern here, my slowest payout came right after I cleaned them up on the sixes. Coincidence is doing a lot of work in that theory, mate.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Funny, I also log payout times and mine tell a similar story, though the sample is small (maybe 30 withdrawals). My slowest ones did cluster after winning weekends, but the worst was only two days past the promised window, and the bank did take its share of that. FrontRowFan's point about settling down once you're a known punter matches my experience, first payout dragged, the rest came through clean.

Everyone in here's got a spreadsheet but nobody's got the actual reason for the delay, which is usually the bank sitting on it. Mine dragged an extra day or so once and the book support just said "processing", no detail. Hard to call it a squeeze pattern on 30 withdrawals when you can't see what happened on their end, receipts please.Hype isn't an argument.

NickTillIDie is probably closest to the mark here, the bank's often the slow part and support just reads from a script. My bookmaker withdrawals have landed anywhere from same-day to three days past what they promised, and the two worst ones both came after weekends where I'd cleaned up on multis. Could be pattern, could be coincidence, but I stopped chasing support chats about it because you get nothing. For the new bloke getting started: keep your verification sorted before your first withdrawal, use the same method you deposited with, and don't expect e-wallets to be magic, mine weren't faster than bank transfer in the end. Log your payout times yourself and you'll know within a month whether bookmaker is worth your bankroll. If anyone here has actually had one go past a week, say so, otherwise the moaning feels a bit rich πBankroll discipline wins.
