Four straight wins and 66 past Wellington
FINALLY the big one is nearly here π±π₯ October 3, Palmy, Cantabs away. Four wins on the trot and I still get chills watching that 66:19 demolition of Wellington, absolute carnage πͺ
But nah, I aint sleeping on Manawatu at home. That 25:24 scrap at North Harbour had my heart going, nearly chucked the remote at the wall tbh. They squeak those tight ones out, that's the sign of a real side. Then Southland handled 34:21 at One NZ Stadium like it was training run π₯
Red and blacks all day, through thick and thin. Get in! Though me dad still goes on about the day he saw a Ranfurly challenge go sideways in Palmy ah well, nowt to do π

βChills from the Wellington game? Mate I've still got the 66:19 replay on π€£π₯ Fingers crossed the forwards front up in Palmy, our lot never make it easy, but Im backing them all day. Those Turbos fans already quiet... π±πͺOne love, one side β€οΈ

Been flicking through the TAB markets for this one and Manawatu at home is exactly the spot where I'd rather take the line than chase a short head-to-head price. Four straight wins including a 47-point smash of Wellington, yet the Turbos in Palmy always tighten things up, remember that 25:24 squeaker at North Harbour. Value's not with the favourite this time, I'd have a small punt on the underdog getting the start or the under on margin bands if the line lands around double digits. πΈBankroll discipline wins.

Been pacing my flat like a dad outside the delivery room waiting for Oct 3 π€£ Watched the 66:19 replay so many times my flatmate reckons the Wellington boys owe me rent.Hold my pint.

Hard to argue with four on the trot but that Harbour game is the one I keep coming back to π€― one point, away from home, that's the real Canterbury right there, they can win ugly too which is what you need come the business end πͺ 66:19 was pure carnage obviously but Wellington folded, Palmy won't. Turbos at home always front, they'll target our loosies at the breakdown and make it scrappy, tbh I reckon it's a grind for 50 mins then the bench swings it. 34:21 over Southland showed they can dig in when the flash gets shut down π₯ Backing the red and blacks all day but I'm not pencilling in a cricket score. GET IN Cantabs πOne love, one side β€οΈ

Don't laugh but I'm new here π everyone's raving about the 66:19, yet Millie's right that Wellington just folded that day. Harbour went down to one point, so maybe I'm wrong but I wouldn't back them to run Palmy off the park at all. Go easy on me, is 3 October a sellout usually? π€

Palmy local here π yes Lucy, that ground gets humming on derby days, get in early. And nah, we won't lie down like Wellington did... See yous there Turbos π₯πͺHeart with the team, head on pause.

Millie's got me convinced they can win ugly, but one point against Harbour has me a bit worried too π curious what happens if Palmy's crowd gets loud early, do Canterbury stay composed?Daft questions are my specialty.

Composure won't be the issue tbh, that Harbour scrap proved they can grind when it's ugly πͺ run them off the park? nah, but they get the job done π₯You don't abandon your own.

been watching canterbury sides roll through my patch since before most of you were born, and i'll tell you the 66:19 night was a treat but the 25:24 grind at harbour told me more about this team. old school rule still applies up there in palmy, the crowd gets into your heads and the bounce of the ball goes funny. southland gave them a proper shake last week too, more than the scoreline says. ah well, we'll see πSeen it all, lads.
