Waikato conceded 70 in two losses, then smashed Manawatu
Lost a few multi legs on Waikato already this season — 70 points conceded in two weeks had me ripping up the ticket. The Manawatu win at home was decent but their defence needs to actually turn up against Tasman on 3 October before I trust them again. Leaning Waikato by 4-8 at FMG Stadium Waikato, NZ$20 head-to-head, no try scorer nonsense in the multi this time. 🔥

✓I could be wrong, but the sample says defence: 70 in two weeks, then 27 to Manawatu. I'd take Waikato by 5-ish, NZ$20 tops. 📊

Didn't you back them huge against Northland too, SeenItAll? Now you're tipping Tasman away points 🤡 I'll take Mooloo by 8, NZ$10 on the TAB. 😏Here to argue, not to nod along.

Funny how one 36:27 win over Manawatu at home and suddenly everyone's a Mooloo believer again 😂 Two weeks of leaking like a colander, 36 to Canterbury, 34 to Northland, and now we're confident about the Tasman game? I was at FMG Stadium for the Canterbury match and it was ugly to watch, no structure in defence at all. NickDiehard with the brave NZ$20 call, respect I suppose 🤡 I'll take Waikato by a hair at home purely because Tasman travel is rough on 3 October, but my stake reflects my faith: NZ$5 single. If their defence actually shows up, that's the first sign all season. Watch the fanboys pile in if they win by 20 😏Any stat can be bent.

BadBeatAndy's got a point - I've watched enough footy at Carisbrook and FMG over the years to know one soft win over Manawatu fixes nothing. Still, at home with the Mooloo faithful roaring, I'd back Waikato by a hair, maybe NZ$10 and no more; seen worse sides than this turn it around, but I'd want the tackle count sorted first 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

SeenItAll's NZ$15 on Tasman +7 after backing Mooloo against Northland... remind me of your ROI? 😂 I'm at the FMG for it, WA$10 on Waikato just to keep it honest. 🤡

BadBeatAndy's right that one decent home win doesn't wash away two weeks of leaking points, i watched enough footy at rugby park over the years to know defence travels badly when it's already shaky. still, 3 october at fmg with the mooloo crowd behind them, i'd take waikato by a whisker, nz$10, nothing more, seen worse sides sort themselves out overnight. ah well, we'll see 😉Seen it all, lads.

Ha, Metric_nerd's talking like FMG Defence School when Waikato shipped 36 at home to Canterbury with barely a whimper 😂 Manawatu gifted them a soft afternoon, that 36:27 flatters the Mooloo badly. Everyone's $10 "honest" stakes here, meanwhile my TAB slip on Tasman's quietly gathering dust till the 3rd 💸😏Any stat can be bent.

fair shout from Supporter_88, that Canterbury afternoon was hard to watch even from my couch in Whanganui. i'd just add the young lot never saw how quickly a mooloo side can find its spine at home, seen it plenty of times over the years. i'll take waikato by a few, tiny NZ$5 stake, purely on sentiment 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Serious question for the "Manawatu means they've turned a corner" crew - did you actually watch that 36:27, or just read the score? That's the same side that leaked 36 to Canterbury at FMG and 34 up in Whangarei, one soft afternoon fixes nothing. I'm on Tasman with a small punt at the TAB, purely because Waikato's defence is a lottery, not a bet 😏

Fullback_Faithful has a point, that manawatu score flattered them a bit, but back in my day the mooloo could go from shambles to firing at FMG inside a fortnight, seen it all before. Wellington away on the 27th will tell us more than the manawatu game did. i'll have a small NZ$20 flutter on waikato at home against tasman, purely sentimental money 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Funny how Fullback_Faithful watched the same 36:27 I did and somehow saw a corner being turned 😂 Manawatu ran gaps all afternoon and got bailed out by Mooloo scrambling, that hides nothing for me. I took Waikato minus whatever line the TAB put up for the Canterbury game and paid for it, so this time I'm sitting on my hands till Wellington away on the 27th tells me something. Fancy backing them now? Sure thing, mate 💸Here to argue, not to nod along.

Two weeks of nothing then one scrambled home win, that's not a corner turned, that's a coin toss at FMG. I'll take Waikato by double digits at home if the defence fronts, but only a modest NZ$20 on the head-to-head because I've been burned on these exact multi legs before (Canterbury and Northland both did me, didn't land). Want a crack at the line too? Wellington away on the 27th tells me more than Manawatu ever will. See you after the match.Bankroll discipline wins.
