FINALLY we get to talk about this one π€π₯ 3 October, Tasman at FMG Stadium Waikato, mark it in your calendars lads, this is the bounce back game!
Look, I know what you're all gonna say. Two home hidings and a stumble up in Northland in between, that's grim reading tbh. But we beat Manawatu 36:27 right before the break and our lot never make it easy, do they? Always the hard way with Waikato, always π
Through thick and thin, that's me. First the trip to Wellington on the 27th to find some form, then we come home and pack the stadium. Who's actually in?? πββοΈ If I can beg a ride down from Auckland I'm there, heart says it all. Ah well, nowt to do but show up and roar them on π€π

Put $50 on Waikato head-to-head the week that Canterbury line opened and watched it drift out a full point before kickoff. Never again do I take the first price on a team leaking 36 at home. Two hidings at FMG Stadium Waikato means the TAB will shorten Tasman, and that's exactly when the value flips the other way: home side with something to prove, punter panic baked in. I'll sit tight, see where the line lands Thursday, and only then decide if it goes in the multi or not. πΈThe line moves β catch it.

Sorry if this is daft, but didn't Waikato actually beat Manawatu 36:27 at home? Everyone's saying two hidings, feels like only Canterbury was a proper hiding π

GloryDaysLegend is right tbh, that Manawatu game was a proper win, people talk like it's all doom π but still... 36 put on them at FMG Stadium by Canterbury, that's two home beatings if you count the scoreboard. As a Nelson boy I'll be at the away end on 3 October cheering Mako on, sorry Waikato lads ππ₯You don't abandon your own.

i watched the mooloos fold worse than this back in my day and still lift silverware come spring π scoreboards lie about how bad a side really is. we'll see what Wellington tells us first, eh.Been here longer than some have followed.
