Righto lads, someone's been chatting at the clubrooms again - apparently a certain Christchurch ten wouldn't mind a sea change if the cap magic could stretch to NZ$80k. Not naming names till it's firmer than a Bay front-row scrum. 😏 Who'd you lot throw the jersey at if the cheque clears?

NickDiehard's got it right. NZ$80k for a Cantab ten screams bench filler, and I've seen too many of these clubroom whispers die on the vine. Happy to be proved wrong, mind, but I've been coming to McLean Park since the early 90s and every "he's keen" story needed a signature before I'd buy a round. Name the bloke and show the paperwork.

Maybe I'm wrong, feels like decent money but not crazy for someone who could actually steer the backline. Only started following the Magpies properly last season so I've not lived through the dud signings you blokes have, how often do these whispers actually come off, roughly? 🙏

SeenItAllFaithful is spot on, we've missed a proper general since that quarterfinal. Even if he's depth on paper, give the kid game time and let him grow.
