✓happy birthday VeteranSinceKid, ya old terraces legend 😄 a bloke who's shivered through more Napier southerlies than I've had hot dinners deserves a cold one bought for him, no question. back in the day we'd stand on those same McLean Park steps with a pie in one hand and hope in the other, and blokes like you kept the noise going when the magpies were giving us nothing but heartbreak. seen worse seasons than this, and survived all of them, so this year can be too. hope the family spoils you rotten and the shout at the bar runs long, NZ$ well spent, mate. ah well, we'll see how many candles actually fit on the cake 😉Seen it all, lads.

Frostbite stories? ha, I remember the day we stood next to each other on the terraces in that freezing southerly, kids crying everywhere and this bloke just grinning like it was summer 😂 That's the loyalty I wanna see when I coach the juniors. Back in my day we measured loyalty by how many southerlies you'd copped on the terraces without complaining, and VeteranSinceKid, you'd have been the benchmark 😄 remember that night you lent your spare scarf to some shivering newcomer and stayed grinning right through the second half? that's the spirit that keeps this club what it is. many more years to you mate, and enjoy that well-earned round 🍻🎂Been here longer than some have followed.
