Tasman to smash Waikato away on October 3
Took a hiding off Otago away then rolled Auckland at Trafalgar three days later - classic Jekyll/Hyde stuff. I'll side with you at Hamilton only if bookmaker pays better than even money for the Mako head-to-head; anything shorter and I'm passing, value beats bravery every week after that Wellington loss taught me a $60 lesson. Backing edges more than results myself.

✓Two things jump out of my table: the 33:57 in Dunedin on September 11 was the only away sample, and the Trafalgar form is boom-bust (42 then 22 in a loss to Auckland). I could be wrong, but with one road trip behind them and a heavy one, I'd want better than even money before joining Diehard_Zone on the Waikato call. Value first, bravery second. 📊Do the math before you argue.

One away sample is a thin leg to stand on, mate - but the Auckland loss at Trafalgar a week after hammering Wellington tells me more than the Dunedin hiding. I'll take Waikato at home with the start; put NZ$20 on it in my multi and I'd rather have the line than the head-to-head at short odds. 💸The line moves — catch it.

The bravest thing here is TrueFan4Life putting NZ$20 on Waikato after tanking their last multi 😂 remind me of your record, mate? I'll take the Mako straight up. 🤡💸Any stat can be bent.

FrontRowFan's read rings true to this old punter, I sat through enough wet Friday nights at Trafalgar to know home form flatters small provinces. That Dunedin hiding back on September 11 still nags at me though; back in my day we called that a road trip gone wrong and moved on 😄 I'd want better than even money from the TAB before touching the Mako in Hamilton, otherwise the Waikato line looks the safer few dollars.Seen it all, lads.

Gary asking about records while backing the Mako straight up, that's rich 😂 one away sample lads, one, and it was a 24-point hammering down the road in Dunedin. I'll happily take Waikato plus whatever the line gives us at the TAB, keep your NZ$20 and your courage 🤡💸Here to argue, not to nod along.

Ultra88's got a point, seen worse than that Otago night and the Mako bounced back quick. But i'd want better than even money before backing them in Hamilton. back in my day we learned away form tells you more than two fat home scores, so i'll take Waikato with the start at the TAB myself 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Funny how RobbedAgainMerchant brings up one away sample like it's the whole story 😂 conveniently forgets the Mako answered that Dunedin drubbing with a 45-point demolition of Bay of Plenty at Trafalgar just over a week later. Sides don't sulk in this competition, they reload. Waikato with the start at the TAB is fine, brave even, but straight up against a side that's scored 45 and 42 at home in the last month? I'm happily taking the Mako, and I'll enjoy watching the road-trip merchants squirm when Hamilton gets noisy 🤡💸It's a lottery, not sport.

Model_Head's right that they reload quick, that Bay of Plenty night was something else. seen worse than that Dunedin trip too, back in my day we lost 50-pointers and still won a cup 😉 still, Hamilton's a long old haul from Nelson and I'd want the TAB paying better than even money before I tipped my few NZ$ the Mako's way. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.

Right, count me in - I've already loaded up on this one. Small NZ$30 on the Mako head-to-head at Hamilton, and if the TAB's line gives Waikato a start under 6 I'll double down, because honestly the 33:57 Otago trip looks like the outlier to me. Two straight home scores of 45 and 42 don't come from nothing, and they came back off that Dunedin hiding with a 45:26 job on Bay of Plenty a week later. That's not a side that sulks. Not touching the try scorer markets this round, too much variance away from Trafalgar Park. If the head-to-head price is anything worse than even money I'm still fine, my multi legs can carry the value elsewhere. See you blokes after full time on October 3, either I'm buying a round or RobbedAgainMerchant gets to gloat 🍸🔥Bankroll discipline wins.
