✓Sounds good, but who exactly is this mystery loosey? Every thread on here since about 2019 has had an unnamed NBL pipeline player about to sign, and the bloke never materialises. Name, current club, contract status, receipts please. Until then I'll file this next to the "we're signing a shock All Black centre" yarn from last winter.Numbers are honest, takes aren't.

Paul's got a point - name, club and contract status first, otherwise this is just another 2019 yarn doing the rounds. I could be wrong, but the age profile is what worries me more than the rumour itself: if we're talking anyone mid-to-late twenties from that pipeline, the window where he'd actually push Grace or even cover 8 seriously is short. NZR contracting rules make mid-season poaches messy too, so June chatter feels optimistic at best. I'll keep my own table updated if anything real surfaces 📊Do the math before you argue.

I'll believe the Addington yarn when I see a name attached to it. Same rumour has done the rounds every off-season since forever, and funny how the "mystery loosey" never has a club or a contract listed. Depends how you count it, but I could probably name half a dozen NBL forwards off-contract in June and none of them strike me as an upgrade on Grace when he's fit. And on the size point, Diehard, size at 8 means nothing without workrate. Grace's value is his lineout and his cleanup work at the breakdown, and I could be wrong, but no one from that pipeline replaces that in year one. If the knee truly packs up, I'd rather see what's already in the wider squad before we chase ghosts. Receipts first, dreams second 📊

Supporter_88 beat me to it, saw the same chatter at work Friday, bloke across the desk reckoned Grace looked fine moving through the drills. That said, one sighter session tells us nothing until he fronts contact work, so I'm with Nick here: no name on the rumour, no interest from me either.
