Otago away on 1 October. Who's in for the trip south?
FINALLY the countdown starts proper!! 🔥 1 October, down in Dunedin, and I'm already buzzing. Yeah yeah, I know I'm a season ticket regular up here, but I actually got up for the Tasman trip and we dug that one out 24:22. You just know the boys can front up away from home when it matters. 💪
That Manawatu loss at the Springs still stings tho, 34:40 at our own patch?? 🤬 Straight back into it against Otago, and I'm genuinely thinking about the trip south this time. Anyone else keen? Dunedin crowd will be up for it as always but we gotta show up in numbers through thick and thin. Who's in?! 🙌

✓Hey Otago fans, better get the Carisbrook memories out because that's all you'll have to cling on 🔥 40 points conceded to Manawatu at our place stung big time but you just know the boys are filthy and gonna come down south swinging... who's with me on the trip?? 💪🙌One love, one side ❤️

Chucking 40 past Manawatu at home and now you want me trusting Auckland down south? Line will probably open around Otago -4 and honestly that smells right to me. I'd wait and see if it drifts to -6, then Auckland +6 is where the value sits, the boys showed enough in that Tasman scrap to keep it inside a converted try. Won't touch the head-to-head though. 💸Bankroll discipline wins.

Otago -4? If anything the line's too kind to Auckland after that Manawatu shambles. I'm 10 mins from the ground and even I'm not paying NZ$ for that 😂Here to argue, not to nod along.

TomWing's right, that Tasman trip was worth every klick. Only worry is 40 points at home to Manawatu, I haven't seen defence that leaky since the old days. Driving south regardless though 😉Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

🤡💸😏😂 Chucking 34 at home and still losing by six to Manawatu, and now half this thread is booking flights to Dunners like it's already a done deal. StatHeadnerd at least is honest with his Otago -4, that line smells about right to me. I'd sooner put my NZ$ on the TAB multi than trust that defence to hold anyone south of the Bombay Hills. Funny how RobbedAgain can hear the Manawatu kicking tee from his deck and he's still giving it a miss, while OldSchoolEst is driving the length of the country on pure faith. Someone in this thread actually watched that Manawatu match, right? Asking for a fanboy pile-in to prove me wrong 😏Any stat can be bent.

OldSchool's got it right, worth every klick, and as a Dunedin local I'll happily put the kettle on if any of you lot make the trip 😄 seen worse defences than that Manawatu effort in forty years of watching, but forget 1 October could still be a cracker - Otago nights at the ground have a habit of sorting the believers from the telly crowd.Been here longer than some have followed.

Flights booked already, I see. 😏 After coughing up 40 at home to Manawatu? Bold. I'll be at Forsyth Barr with my popcorn waiting for the fanboys to arrive.Any stat can be bent.

had my share of Dunedin trips since the amateur days, and i'll tell you the one thing they taught me — expectations lie more than any line does. that Manawatu loss stung, seen worse in my time, and Otago on their home patch was never going to be a stroll no matter what happened up here. weather might have a say too, it usually does down there. ah well, we'll seeSeen it all, lads.
