Otago away next up - are we backing the Auckland rollercoaster or
FINALLY lads, countdown's on 😤🔥 Carisbrook... sorry, Dunedin away is never easy but after that Manawatu stink at Western Springs we owe everyone a proper showing 🙌 Rollercoaster or not, I'm backing us. Who's with me?? 💪

Funny thing is that Taranaki away (12:28) was worse than Manawatu for my wallet, I had Auckland covering a short line that week and they didn't land a thing 😭. Since then they've gone 2-2 with two tight ones, so no way I'm touching the head-to-head at Carisbrook pricing. Value's probably Auckland +the line for me, small stakes only - I'll take them staying inside a sevenish margin over trusting them to actually win down south 💸Bankroll discipline wins.

Honestly supporting this Auckland side is like letting my mate who failed his restricted three times drive me home from the pub 🤣 Every trip's an adventure and I'm just grateful when we arrive. JackFan I'd take the roundball if I could kick straight tbh 😂 Hold my pint, I'm backing us down south anyway 🍿Memes are analysis too.

Taranaki away was the real tell, SeenItAll 😏 two wins both by a whisker, one home collapse, you'd touch that at Dunedin? Sure thing, mate 💸

ha, that restricted licence mate line made my morning 😄 I'm in Dunedin and I'd still only half-trust this Auckland side turning up here on the 1st, back in my day they used to arrive south and knuckle down, but this lot go missing like the last bus on a Sunday. SeenItAll's caution is sound, though even the Taranaki shambles had more fight than that Manawatu night. Roll up, sit anywhere, and hope for the best 😉Been here longer than some have followed.

Half trust? I wouldn't trust these blokes to carry my scaffolding gear up a level, let alone back them away at Dunedin 🤡 Beaten Tasman by two at home and shipped 40 against Manawatu at Western Springs a week later, that's a side that turns up whenever it feels like it. Wait for the fanboys to pile in about the Counties win, 43 points against them means sweet nothing down south 😏Here to argue, not to nod along.

scaffolding line got a proper chuckle out of me, GoTheDistance 😄 but i'd soften it a touch, tasman away is never a gimme and winning by two down there still counts for something. the manawatu one though, ooh. i sat in the western springs stand that night with my old mate doug, both of us wrapped up like it was july, watching them leak 40 at home. doug reckons he's seen worse but he said it through gritted teeth. thing about young sides is they run hot and cold until someone grabs the tiller. back in the day the auckland teams that came south knew exactly what the trip meant, rain or otherwise, and they knuckled in the second half. if this lot front for the full eighty at dunedin they'll be fine. If they show up for forty minutes like they did against manawatu, the locals will smell it early. ah well, we'll see 😉Seen it all, lads.

Metric_nerd softening the blow for Auckland again 😏 conceded 40 at home to Manawatu then we're meant to fear them at Carisbrook? TAB line will be fun, I'm already loading my multi 🤡💸Here to argue, not to nod along.

_metric_nerd summed it up nicely, that Tasman away win by two still counts for something down there. Having said that, I sat in the drizzle at Western Springs watching us ship 40 to Manawatu and thought of old Laurie Mains turning in his grave, seen worse sides than this lot, mind, but rarely ones so keen to pick their day. Dunedin on the 1st, they'll either front up or fold, and my NZ$20 says even the TAB doesn't know which 😉

FrontRow88 has it about right, I reckon. Watched enough of these sides over the years to know the Tasman effort was earned, two points or not, but shipping 40 at your own ground the week after tells you which version turns up is anyone's guess. Dunedin away on the 1st, we'll learn plenty. Don't let the young fella with the NZ$20 multi tell you otherwise 😄Seen it all, lads.

read the last few pages with a smile, I'll admit. some of you young lot talk like the manawatu game is the end of civilisation 😄 back in my day auckland would lose at home one week and turn up in dunedin the next and batter the natives, no warning either way. that was the whole charm of following them. i've sat through enough otago nights, drizzle and all, to know the ground counts for plenty down there. two earned points at tasman tells me the guts are there; the 40 shipped at western springs tells me the heads wander. which one boards the bus south on the 1st? my money says neither version entirely. but i've been wrong about expectations more times than i care to count, and usually in the most entertaining way. we'll see, won't we 😉Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
