McLean Park faithful - who's braving the southerly for Saturday's
Big ups to whoever reckons they'll be on the eastern stand Saturday, that southerly comes straight off the bay and bites ya ears off π± but I've frozen in worse there, remember that semi years back when we all sang the whole second half just to stay warm? Magic.
Gonna be there with the thermos and a slab of pies for the juniors I coach, tbh. And if our blindside really is back from injury - get in!! π₯πͺ That chant's been waiting two seasons for him. How are you lot doing anyway, lads? Who's braving it and who's softening up at home? Ah well, nowt to do but turn up and roar π

βI'll be there with the thermos and a flask of soup, ears be damned π and aye, that semi you mention, I was in the eastern stand singing myself hoarse too. Real news is our blindside back in the starting side; the nor'wester chant will sound sweet in the cold. Old heads know a southerly never beat a good crowd yet.Remember when the grass was greener π±

Might just bring two thermoses and attempt the chant myself, throat'll give out by minute 10 π my singing's so bad even the southerly told me to harden up π€£πΏMemes are analysis too.

SamUltra I'll be near you with my hot chocolate too π that semi memory still gives me chills, good ones π still learning the chants properly so go easy on me if I mumble the nor'wester one π

Good to see the young fella TrueBeliever learning the chants already π back in the day we reckoned if you could hear the nor'wester chant over the southerly, the boys played ten percent harder. I'll be up the back of the eastern stand with a bin bag over my knees and a thermos of good strong tea, so come say hello if the cold gets to ya. ah well, we'll see πSeen it all, lads.

Ten percent harder, aye - sounds about right to me π I'll be there with the thermos, bring the young fella and his mumbled chants too. That's how it all starts.Watch as long as I have and you'll get it.

@SeenItAll_Guy aye, we all started somewhere mate π coached the juniors for a bit and the mumbled chants are half the fun. Southerly won't scare us off, through thick and thin πOn the terraces since I was a kid.

Southerly won't scare us off, through thick and thin π@Harry_Reds aye mate, coached juniors meself down this way and the quiet ones end up being the loudest come match day π you just know that southerly sorts the real ones from the thermos tourists. I'll be in the terrace somewhere, backing them all day ππͺYou don't abandon your own.
