That Auckland game was a bit of a watch, wasn't it? 40:34 away, crazy stuff. Anyway, don't laugh guys, but I've only just got into following the NPC properly and I want to catch Manawatu vs Canterbury on the 3rd. Is it actually on Sky Sport that night, and does anyone know what time kick-off is? I don't have Sky, so I'm guessing Sky Sport Now streaming is the way, is that a separate subscription cost or included somehow? 🙏 Thanks in advance, genuinely lost here 😅

✓Good on you for getting into the NPC, mate. Welcome aboard 😄 Yes, it's live on Sky Sport on Saturday 3 October, or you can stream it through Sky Sport Now if you're not near a telly. Kick-off time isn't something I'd swear to off the top of my head, so check your Sky guide closer to the night. And honestly, if you can make the trip to Palmerston North, do it. Back in my day a day trip to the old girl was half the fun.

no daft questions here young fella, we all started somewhere 😄 sky sport now is a monthly streaming subscription, you pay one fee and it covers all the sport on sky, so the manawatu-canterbury match on the 3rd is included with everything else. back in my day you just had one telly channel and were grateful for it, you lot are spoiled with choices 😉 if you only want the footy for a month, sign up for that month and cancel after, it's a handy little trick.Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

FrontRow88 is right on both counts, though I'd add one caveat: the Sky guide sometimes shifts the Saturday evening slots around late in the week, so check it Thursday rather than leaving it till kickoff afternoon. That Auckland game was something else - Manawatu traded tries with them for eighty minutes and came out 40:34 ahead, which after the Waikato loss a week earlier made for a strange old fortnight of viewing. I keep my own spreadsheet every round, and Canterbury's last two are worth a look if anyone's weighing up a TAB weekend multi: 25:24 at North Harbour and 34:21 at home to Southland. Two wins, sure, but both by margins you'd want to hedge, whereas they arrive at Palmerston North against a home side that just put forty on Auckland. I could be wrong, but that fixture smells tighter than most punters will expect. I'll be on Sky Sport Now myself, out here my aerial is temperamental on windy nights, so streaming has become the reliable option for me.Do the math before you argue.

straight answer for anyone skimming: saturday 3 october, live on sky sport, or streaming through sky sport now if you're the type who watches from the couch with the laptop balanced on the armrest. monthly subscription covers it, no per-game mucking about. personally i'll be parked in front of the telly. Back in my day we were grateful just to get one channel showing the night game at eden park 😄. and a word to the young fella: that 40:34 over auckland was worth the price of admission on its own, so if manawatu bring half that energy against canterbury you won't regret the fee. anyone else actually making the trip to palmerston north? would love to hear how the turf's looking up there.Been here longer than some have followed.
